Services and Supplemental Aids
Services Include:
Intervention, check-ins, interpreting, ancillary attendants, etc.
Special education services must be more intensive than Tier I, II, or III interventions
Services can be provided in any LRE setting that is determined appropriate for a student
Questions to Consider for Service Delivery:
1. What accommodations/supports are needed to achieve the goal?
2. What services are being considered?
3. Are the services aligned to the student’s areas of deficit (i.e. reading fluency, math calculation, written expression)?
4. Do the services relate to the measurable annual goal?
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Special Education Case Manager is responsible for entering all special education services (i.e., academic, social/emotional, prevocational) while the Related Service Provider (i.e., Speech Language Pathologist) is responsible for entering related services (i.e., speech/language therapy).
