Dates to Remember:

Our class will be viewing the books on Monday, November 18th at 9:56 a.m. and buying on Wednesday, November 20th at 9:56 a.m. If you would like for your child to buy a book, kindly send cash or a cheque (payable to Sherwood School) with them in an envelope, clearly labelled with their name and the amount enclosed in it. Please also put your child’s “wish list" in the envelope. Don’t forget to circle the title that they would like to purchase.
Learning Buddies: Our next Learning Buddies session with Mme Fraser's Grade 3 French Immersion class will be on Monday, November 18th, Day 4.
Teddy Bear Clinic: Our UPEI School of Nursing students, Mea and Molly, will be running a Teddy Bear Clinic for our class on Wednesday, November 20th. All students are invited to bring a stuffed toy on that date.
Pajama Day: All students are also invited to wear their pajamas on Wednesday, November 20th.
Show and Share: All students are invited to bring another small toy of their choice, that relates to our integrated theme of Dinosaurs, for Show and Share on Thursday, November 21st. Kindly help your child introduce themselves and present their toy. The following sentence structures may be helpful to them: Bonjour! Je m’appelle _____. Voici mon/ma _____. Please remember to not send toys with your child on days other than Show and Share.
Parent-Teacher Interviews: Thank you for scheduling your child’s parent-teacher interview online. I look forward to meeting with you on Thursday, November 21st or Friday, November 22nd to discuss their progress to date.
Sherwood School Closed to Students: Kindly note that Sherwood School will be closed to students on Friday, November 22nd due to Parent-Teacher Interviews.
Notes:
Here are a few points of information pertaining to the week:
Leader/Assistant: Our first leader of the day will be Émile and our first assistant will be Evie this week.
Theme: This week, our theme will continue to be Dinosaurs.
Water Bottle: Kindly remember to send a filled water bottle with your child each day. Merci beaucoup!
Eye See…Eye Learn! Program: Kindly have your child take advantage of the Eye See … Eye Learn! Program before June 30th, 2025. The Eye See … Eye Learn! program is an eye health and vision awareness program which provides one free eye exam and, if needed, one free pair of glasses to all Kindergarten students across P.E.I. Please refer to the following link for further information:

Illness: Kindly check your child's overall health each morning, before sending them to school. If they are sick, please keep them home to rest and recuperate. In doing so, you are reducing the spread of illness amongst all members of our classroom community.
Assessment and Evaluation: I will be working with each student individually to assess their progress in fine motor, early numeracy and early literacy development again this week. Our daily routine will be adjusted slightly to accommodate this activity.
Have an amazing week!
