Math can help us to maintain our exercise routines, calculate the perfect form, and measure the fitness level. There are so many formulas in fitness. For example, Body Mass Index (BMI) and Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR).
BMI is used to measure how overweight or obese an individual may be by calculating from your height and weight.
Standard Formula: BMI = Weight (kg) ÷ Height (m)^2
Underweight: BMI ≤ 18.5
Normal Weight: 18.5 ≤ BMI < 30
Overweight: 25 ≤ BMI < 29.9
Obese: 30 ≤ BMI
Body Fat Calculations are used to measure the percentage or mass of body fat in one individual.
Fat Mass = % Body Fat × Body Weight
Lean Body Mass = Body Weight × Fat Mass
