Submittals

The Submittal module is used to manage Submittal items throughout the review process.

A submittal item may include shop drawings, samples, operational manuals, warranties, etc.

The project specifications determine what is required for review and approval. Once a submittal is approved and distributed, it is released for fabrication and shipment.

Submittals are controlled by workflow in Kahua and therefore Statuses and appropriate dates auto-fill as the Submittal moves in workflow.

Submittal fields can be pre-populated with repeatable information, such as the Primary Reviewer, Secondary Reviewers, cc/Notification, Response Distribution, Internal Processing Duration and Review Period (Days).

Configuration can be done by any Project Admin team member. Please contact Clark IT Kahua support for assistance.

Tips:

• For projects required to use the Owner or Architect's system we have a suggested workaround procedures below. Please examine and discuss with the project team and the Kahua IT Team.

• The Submittal Number field can be set to pull the next whole number based off of the selected CSI Code. Once the CSI Code is entered the Number field will calculate the next whole number and enter it automatically.
