Within Kahua the Groups app controls who is on the project, permissions and cost management routing.
Groups can also be used for Distribution lists. Project Admins can create new Groups by:
Selecting Apps - Select Groups located in the Other section
Select "CREATE GROUP" at the top of the screen.
Please make them project specific by selecting No when the popup window asks: Question "Would you like to make this group available across all projects? is asked. Also don't Type the word - "Group" in the Group name or you end up with "Group Group" in certain areas.
Tip: Add a Prefix to your Distribution lists, so they are easy to find. Example: Project - Reach for the Stars Environment Center abbreviation is: RFTSEC - Example: RFTSEC - MEP or RFTSEC - Submittal Distribution
Do not delete existing Groups unless you created them, since some of the groups control permissions and access.
The globe symbol next to a group members name shows they have created a Kahua account. No globe - no account (aka Contact Only)
Sorting by First Name, Last Name or Company can be achieved by clicking on the Header Name.
Below is a list of the standard Groups for each project:
Team – A list of every team member. This list automatically updates as people are added to other groups within the project.
Issue Approver – Type – Step X – These groups control the project’s Change Order routing within your project by Type.
Project Admin – Clark-Only (GC - General Contractor) users with Administrative permissions to the project.
Internal User – Clark-Only (GC - General Contractor) users with standard permissions.
Owner – Owner (client)
Architect/Engineer – Architect, Engineers and Consultants to the architect.
Subcontractor – Subcontractors
