We know that many people have a preferred learning style.
You may find that when tackling a learning task, students differ in their approach. Some want to get going and finish quickly. Others like to think about things more . Some people like to have visuals to fully understand something. Others are fine with an oral explanation. Others are ‘kinaesthetic’ learners and learn best by doing.
A tutor cannot tailor a course for every student. So variety is the key - a range of methods should support your learners’ different learning styles. The exception is for students with a learning difficulty such as dyslexia where you may need to adapt your practice.
