Every learner is a unique human being. No-one has ever had the same set of experiences before, or has exactly the same educational history as anyone else.
Adults each have their own expectations of and motivations for returning to learning. Your role as the tutor is to recognise the common aspects that most adults share, while also recognising differences and supporting individuals.
