How do you gain empathy for your users? By researching more about poverty, I can come up with a statement that can convey the importance of poverty, as well as gaining empathy and support from the audience.
What was your process when identifying your users? My group made a survey regarding to our poster and we also had to come up with foods that people might like. I also ask suggestions to my mentors and other peers regarding to our products.
How challenging has it been to get in touch with your users? Or to decide which users to contact? It was quite challenging to come up with the foods, since they needed to follow the food policy in Cikal. Besides that, the poster needed to be the expectations of the users, though we didn't know what their standards are before we actually made the survey.
What is one unique insight that you learned from speaking to your users? I learned from one of the users that donating only the money is not a sustainable, and the money could run out at any point. Instead of money, I could raise funds to buy school supplies, books, our knowledge on something, etc.
Did your interviews change your perspective on the challenge? My perspective has definitely changed regarding to the ways that I could reduce poverty and sustainable alternatives than sending money.
