My CP is about trying to help the people in poverty by donating to them and educating them. There are lots of people in the world with only pennies in their wallet, and we try to decrease the widening wealth gap. This is not a solo project from me, we have a group that works together (Adrya, Risjad, Ais, Danendra) through every action we did.
Specific : I am trying to help the people in poverty by raising more awareness to it so therefore people will come donate to charity if they feel sympathetic enough. All the donations go to a foundation named 'Calistung' which helps children in poverty by educating them. Another way to increase donations is by making a bazaar, which we will donate the profits to the foundation.
Measurable : My cp project has succeeded and my target number of donations that I made before we did the action got surpassed. This is thanks to my group who helped in making the raising awareness posters and bazaar. Both of which earned us lots of profits.
Attainable : The way I made this happen was by trying to plan out realistic ways that we could get huge sums of money. We felt that a bazaar and a poster to raise awareness will be enough to get our target donation.
Relevant : Poverty is a huge issue in Indonesia, when I walk the streets I see homeless people and parents working hard jobs to be able to put food on the plate for their children. This made me feel pretty sad and empathetic for them. My mother also wants to fix this situation by educating children in poverty.
Time based : At February We will have been finished with the raising awareness poster after gaining feedback from the google forms. On the dates March 6th and 8th we will be doing the bazaar.
How do you gain empathy for your users?
Through raising awareness posters, these posters helped in making the audience that view it feel more sympathetic. It uses emotional words and sad statistics, colored in black and white.
What was your process when identifying your users?
Poverty is a topic that most people will feel sympathetic towards, so the for identifying my audience will be not that hard. We did make a bazaar and the foods and beverages has to be good in order for the people to buy it. We ended up choosing pretty common foods and beverages that almost everyone likes.
How challenging has it been to get in touch with your users? Or to decide which users to contact?
The users was not that challenging to get in touch with. They usually just buy from our bazaar if they feel like it, and donate to our raising awareness poster when feeling sympathetic enough.
What is one unique insight that you learned from speaking to your users?
One unique insight I got was that just donating to children in poverty is not enough, since they will spend the money and then need donations again. So a solution is to educate them so they become more knowledgeable and can apply for jobs if they can.
Did your interviews change your perspective on the challenge?
Yes, the interviews made me realize the severity of the problem and ways for us to be able to reduce poverty.

What is one thing that is currently causing you to stress about your project? The cp presentation.
Tell your testing phase and include your survey result.
What I did for my testing phase was that I made a google forms so we can conduct survey on people to give them feedbacks on our raising awareness poster. For the bazaar part we didn't get the feedbacks from the survey. Instead we tested the foods and beverages out ourselves with the help of our parents, and also in Ais' house.
What improvement did you make based on your testing survey?
Improvements we made to the poster was we made the poster have a better design and feel more depressing. Some texts in the poster are lined up creatively to make it more eye-catching.
What are the challenges in creating your prototype?
The challenges in creating our prototype is the effort needed to be made. The raising awareness pster was not that hard. Though the same cannot be said for the bazaar since there were lots of tough situations that happened behind the scenes of the bazaar. We needed to know what products will sell, how much of them, the budget, trying to make the product pretty good so it is worth it, etc.
