Learn a song, harmonise, and choreography to a fun and energetic musical theatre number, as we start to look at what it is to be a Triple Threat performer.
The Musical Theatre team will be taking you through a vocal and dance class, learning material from a musical.
Make sure you wear clothes you can dance in and bring water!
During the summer we would like to get to know you!
To do this we have set 4 different tasks: 2 research and 2 practical. You can upload your work on Google Classroom and 'Hand in' when you have completed it.
All four of these tasks are connected so feel free to upload any task at any time and in any order. The official hand-in date for everything will be Friday 27th August.
Find a show you see yourself being cast in when you look into the future. Research everything about that show including:
Synopsis
Characters
Creative Team
Costume
Lighting
Set
Music
Any fun facts!
What you like and dislike about it.
Now we know who you wish to be, we would like to hear you.
Send us a video of you singing a song of your choice from your chosen show that you have spent all that time researching. We will hopefully then be able to see you bring that character you have researched come to life.
Please upload in video form not voice note.
Look up your show on YouTube, find a piece of choreography and learn it.
It doesn't have to be a full song, just a verse and chorus. If your show doesn't have much choreography to work with, please feel free to choreograph to a song of your choice from the musical and show us your creativity.
Remember choreography doesn't always need a large space to work in, but if you do find you don't have enough space get yourself into the garden or if you don't have garden to a nearby green.
'Eugenius!' Meet Eugene, Janey and Feris as they reach for the stars and discover the superhero inside themselves. The leading character Eugene is a geek who spends his time creating a comic strip for an original superhero, Tough Man. This muscle-bound prodigy travels through the universe with his sidekick, Super Hot Lady, but there is one chink in his amour. The superhero musical, driven by a catchy Eighties-inspired score, will plant a smile of your face. Cheesy but fun - perfect for a rainy afternoon!
