This is a vibrant course putting students at the centre of a highly physical dance training programme focusing on technique, performance, choreography, and body conditioning.
Students study a mixture of Contemporary, Jazz, and Commercial dance, alongside other styles, across the two years, and is the perfect springboard for future dance training institutions.
Whilst on this course there are an exciting variety of workshops and trips, including London and participation on our international trip to New York. This trip includes the opportunity to watch Broadway productions and participate in workshops.

During the summer we would like to get to know you!
To do this we have set 3 different tasks: 2 research and 1 practical. You can upload your work on Google Classroom and 'Hand in' when you have completed it.
All three of these tasks are connected so feel free to upload any task at any time and in any order. The official hand-in date for everything will be Friday 27th August.
Find a dance company you see yourself being a member of, when you look into the future. Research everything about a particular show/performance that company has done, including:
Synopsis
Creative Team
Costume
Lighting
Set
Music
Any fun facts!
What you like and dislike about it.
Look up your performance on YouTube, find a piece of choreography and learn it.
It doesn't have to be a full number, just a couple of counts of 8. If your show doesn't have much choreography to work with, please feel free to choreograph the music of your choice and show us your creativity.
Remember choreography doesn't always need a large space to work in, but if you do find you don't have enough space get yourself into the garden or if you don't have a garden to a nearby green.
