Welcome to Creative Media Production, a brand new program at Lewes exploring all aspects of modern media and communication.
As a full time Level 3 Program, this course offers students the unique opportunity to explore the creative industries through our studio based practice - Students have all-day-access to their collaborative studio space, including animation, filmmaking, photography and sound spaces to develop their work, self practice and their own enterprises.
Overview:
Over the two years of UAL Creative Media Production, we will encourage you to experiment whilst nurturing your personal creative authorship. You will engage in a range of theoretical and practical study focusing through a series of professional workshops, lectures and collaborative study. Experienced practitioners from a range of disciplines offer a framework of traditional skills (Drawing, Darkroom, Presentation), Practical principles (Filmmaking, Design, Photography, Visual communication) and digital applications (Adobe Suite, VR, 3D Modelling). Each year supports a range of briefs and projects, often in collaboration with industry professionals, focusing on developing a range of skilled practitioners through our Studio Practise. The first year introduces students to the contextual and practical disciplines of Photography, Visual Communication and Digital Media, offering students the opportunity to develop a range of skills, methodologies and an exploration of technologies. The second year furthers on these skills developing students understanding of further theory and research, increasing their visual vocabulary and critical creative thinking. Each year concludes with a Final Major Project, students are given the opportunity to tailor their studies to fit their evolving interests and complete on their ideas and professional self practice. Students will graduate after each year with a strong portfolio of professional industry based project work which will support entry into the creative industries or into higher education.

Entry Requirements:
We ask for five grades 4-9/C-A* at GCSE, including English and/or maths, or for students to complete our Level 2 Media Production Course.
Qualification:
First Year: Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology
Second Year: Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology
Progression:
Students are able to progress onto our Level 4 UAL Creative Enterprise Diploma which forms the first year of their degree education, at Lewes. - This course enables students to further discover their voice as a creative and learn how to turn their passion and skills into a business venture. We also offer a selection of degrees at our Hastings Campus such as BA Photography and BA Graphic Communication.
We also support students through into university applications, apprenticeships and often directly into industry.
