Welcome to the East Sussex Academy of Music (ESAM), where you can find some information about the A Level Course, and start to think about some of the activities we will do while you learn with us and while you attend sessions with us in June.
When you are here with us on the Getting to Know You Day you will need to bring an instrument you play, or if you're a singer be ready to learn a song.
We know that you are all keen performing musicians and we are too - we love to work by getting you playing and singing. We also want you to write your own music and make arrangements of your own cover versions of songs.
Our BTEC students run their own gigs throughout the course, designing everything from the programme, to the repertoire, right through to how to move all the equipment to the venue! It's a good, realistic project, that culminates in a huge event at an external venue in Lewes at the end of the year.
Here are three of our students, Dexter, Reuben, and Lily, all in action at the Con Club at the top of Lewes High Street. It's a great music venue and wonderful to play on their stage. The place is always packed when we play there, and it's a loud, wonderful event. You'll have the chance to do the same thing when you come and work with us at ESAM.
