UAL Acting is an exciting course, structured around the development of your vocational skills and the creation of performance projects.
It provides practical experience and training in different styles and genres of acting such as Contemporary Performance, Pantomime, Shakespeare, Devising and Physical Theatre, and you will develop your own individual performance skills, as well as consider the historical, cultural, and vocational contexts behind your work.
On this course, you will have opportunities to develop your creative performing abilities in a range of projects and styles and will take part in workshops with external practitioners such as Frantic Assembly and The Hiccup Project.
You will perform both within the college, and at external venues such as the Old Market Theatre. You will also perform in a pantomime tour to East Sussex primary schools.
There are trips to venues such as The Globe and the National Theatre, as well as other West End Theatres during the course, as well as more local destinations like The Old Market and Chichester Festival Theatre. You are also able to participate in our international trip to New York, where you will watch great shows and take part in Broadway workshops.
