The month of March 2021 witnessed a series of fests, webinars and workshops at CHRIST Bannerghatta campus. The virtual mode of conducting these events never dwindled the zest and fervour of the participants. The following are the list of events held in March 2021..
Director, BGR Campus
Alta Vista, which was held on 2nd and 3rd of March 2021, was an annual intercollegiate tourism fest comprising various events for our festers to showcase their talent and prove their mettle.
The theme for this year was Millennium: Honouring the Past, Treasuring the Present, Shaping the Future and the highlight for this year would be the entire fest being conducted through an online mode thus showcasing the continued spirit of Christ (Deemed to be University) of marching ahead even during the most difficult times.
Mr. Kartik Kannan
The session, which was held on 2nd March 2021, by Mr. Kartik Kannan, head of product and data science at Cricket.com introduced the concept of product development and how the product is related from the phase of its development to marketing.
The webinar which was held on 2nd March 2021, aimed to educate individuals on the various forms of abuse, prevention of dating violence, interventional and post-interventional strategies. The goal was to create a safe space and highlight legal aspects of dating violence along with what healthy and unhealthy relationships consist of.
The inauguration of the Mock Parliamentary Elections of Christ (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta Road Campus, took place on 2nd March 2021. After the inaugural ceremony, the details of the event which will last a whole month was briefed. The results for the event were declared on 30th March 2021.

Manash Firaq Bhattacharjee is a poet, writer, and political science scholar from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.In the book talk organised by the English and Cultural Studies Department on 17th March 2021,.Manash Firaq Bhattacharjee discussed the experience of time and memory as felt by the writer during the lockdown from his newly published book titled The Town Slowly Empties,
The Debating Society of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta Road Campus hosted the second edition of AEONS 2021, the flagship Literary event, organised by the Literary Wing of the DEBSOC from 18th - 21st March 2021.AEONS is a creative and competitive intra-collegiate online fest that hosts a series of 6 events that are creative adaptations of popular literary events, and the theme for this edition centered around Figures of Speech.
With prizes worth Rs. 9,600/-, Aeons 2021 promised a perfect blend of fun, learning and some incredible competition.
To raise awareness among the students about the field of Industrial and Organisational Psychology and have a discussion regarding the career prospects offered by the field, a webinar with Dr B Vijay Bhaskar was held on 23rd March 2021.
On 23rd March 2021, MESTA (Media Studies Association) under the Department of Media Studies in association with Ellipsis of the Department of English and Cultural Studies organized a workshop on ‘Visual Storytelling’ as part of the ‘Khwabeeda talkies-Film Festival 2021’. The speaker of the event was Mr Sudeep Bhattacharya, a renowned photographer and a filmmaker with more than 10 years of experience.
The session by Tafteesh on 23 March 2021 was conducted by Dr. Neepa Sarkar, Assistant Professor of English and coordinator of MA English, Mount Carmel College.The speaker largely focused on the idea of these visual engagements as a philosophical possibility by looking at two films and the ideas of Alain Badiou, a French philosopher. The central idea was the fact that if films comprise images, then they represent our imaginary relationship to the world.
Rising sea levels have been a major problem for the people living in the coastal areas as well as tourism in coastal areas.To enlighten upon coastal tourism, its impact, and the major challenges to the stakeholders of tourism. a webinar titled “Management of Coastal Tourism Areas Endangered by Climate Change” was hosted by PATA India Christ University Student Chapter on 23rd of March, 2021. The guest speaker for the webinar was Miss Flori-Anne Dela Cruz.
On 25th March 2021, a virtual guest lecture was organized on Equity Valuation for 1MBAR. The Guest of honour was Mr. Abhishek Sinha. a qualified Financial Risk Manager from the GARP, US, and an expert in the area of Business Modelling and Valuation and Financial Risk Management.
TELESTO- Point in Paradigm- Technology was the Annual Flagship National Level Inter-Collegiate Fest organized by Christ University School of Business and Management, Bannerghatta Campus, exclusively for management students from various reputed institutions. The inauguration ceremony was held on 26th March, 2021.
Exodus is the flagship fest of the MBA Tourism Management at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta Road Campus.This edition of Exodus, which was held on the 26th and 27th of March, went beyond boundaries, becoming the first international fest of its kind. Students were invited from universities around India, as well as various PATA Student Chapters. The fest was inaugurated by the CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association Dr Mario Hardy on 26th March 2021.
Khwabeeda Talkies kicked off on the first day on 29 March, 2021. Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi, renowned actor/motivation speaker. The second day of Khwabeeda Talkies on 30 March, was nothing less than a battleground for the classes with the Clash of Classes event series.
Bulls & Bears conducted a three-day mock stock from 30th March to 1st April 2021,which was the first-ever faceoff between the business and economics cluster. The cumulative scores of the Economics and Political Science department was higher and thereby they were declared the winners.
The winning cluster was decided based on the collective performance of all the participants from the cluster. The mock stock reflected the current prices in the market
The department of Psychology of CHRIST(Deemed to be University) Bannerghatta Road campus and Kengeri campus, together, organised a webinar on 30th March 2021 which had Ms.Michelle Normen, Lead Psycho-oncologist at Cytecare and A.Rajeswari, Executive Psycho-oncologist at Cytecare as the resource person
