CHRIST Bannerghatta Road campus organised a series of skill enhancement sessions for the non-teaching staff members in the month of June 2022. The first session was held on 13 June 2022 by Ms Arundathi who discussed on the topic of 'Sustainability', attended by all the administrative staff members. Ms Sonia Joseph, the coordinator of Centre for Health Services conducted a session on 15 June titled ' Administering Insulin Injection- theory and practical'. The Administrative staff and the Housekeeping & Maintenance staff underwent a Fire & Safety training session by the Security Officer Mr Manoj on 14 June where the participants were given a live demonstration on how to put out different kinds of fire accidents.
On 17 June, Ms Stella Veigas, the mentor for BGR CAPS took a session on 'Mindfulness' and Ms Chitra from the Dean's office covered the topic on 'Etiquettes' on 18 June. On 20 June, the administrative staff actively participated in the session lead by Ms Krithika Balaji, the SWO coordinator of BGR, on 'Ikigai: the Japanese secret to a long and happy life'. On 21 June Mr Appasaheb from the IT Services enlightened about A+ and N+, the hardware and networking tools generally used in computer systems. The Library team of BGR campus conducted the 'Treasure Hunt' and 'Quiz' on 21st and 29th June respectively. A session on 'Mudras and Meditation' was handled by Mr Sebastian of the admissions office on 29 June who engaged the audience in practising mudras for healing and meditation. An interesting session on the 'Blue Ocean Strategy' was held on 24 June, with Dr Fr Biju as the resource speaker. He explained the 'Eliminate, Reduce, Raise and Create' strategies to enhance our personal and work potentials. The administrative staff also enrolled themselves in online certification courses and successfully completed them within the stipulated time.
Apart from these, the housekeeping, Security and Maintenance staff were engaged in daily sessions between 11 to 12 pm of personality development training with resource person Ms Krupalini Swamy,the founder of HowNWhy and Project Njan. The Bannerghatta campus holds dear the University motto of 'Excellence and Service' and these skill enhancement sessions serve as a stark example of the its implementation.
