Anything But a Backpack Day

Find an object around your house that can serve as your "Bag" for the day. Nothing that contains combustibles (oil, gas), can be ridden (bikes, skateboards), nothing dangerous, no humans & nothing that belongs to an establishment (shopping carts, baskets) can be brought to school. Be mindful of the size of things when navigating the stairwells.

Volleyball

During LBs, our annual “Spirit Week Volleyball Tournament” will be held in the DiBart Gym.  Each class will have a team of girls and a team of boys, w/teams consisting of no less than 6 and no more than 10 players. Only two (2) school volleyball players are allowed on the court at a time.

Tug-of-War will take place during LB1/LB2.  Each class will have a team of girls and a team of boys, with each team having a weight limit (girls - 1600 lbs./boys - 2100 lbs.). Email one of your SGA Class Officers if you are interested in joining the Tug-of-War Team for your class. Teams must be ready by Monday, 11/21.

Dance Competition 

7pm in the DiBart Gym 

$5 cash only (free for kids 12 & under)

Dances can be no longer than 10 minutes. Dances over this will incur a scoring reduction. The night of the dance, wrist bands will be given to anyone on the participation list. Students not wearing a wrist band will not be allowed through the door as a dance participant (they can come in to watch the dance for a $5 cash only door fee). All music must be given to Mr. Davis by Nov 21st and will be checked for time limitations.

 

Each class will receive 20 points for at least 30 participants and an additional 5 points for every 10 participants after that.  (Ex. 60 participants = 35 points).  Participation will be determined by the number of students on the participation list. 

 

Dance requirements:

o   Description of dance with songs for judges

o   No confetti, streamers, or any other small items that can become a hazard

o   Only advisors may be in the actual dance. No other faculty member is allowed.

o   Spending limits; No more than $10 per dance participant.

*  Students running the dance must have all purchases pre-approved by the advisors

*  All money must be deposited with the school bookkeeper, 

and any reimbursements must go through her.

o   Large Prop limits: Any waivers must be approved by Mr Davis

o   Lights: ANY CLASS can turn out the lights for a limited time
