Usra Aslam

Usra has been involved in SGA (School VP), Belles (Officer), MSA (President), Model UN (Social Media & Conference Director), Speech Team (Binder Chair), Spring Musical, Tennis, ICS, Bridge Tutoring, PAVAS, Science/English/SS/Spanish NHS and Cum Laude Society. Outside of school, she is a Research Assistant to the Head of Political Science at Drexel, Research Director for LEAP for Climate, and Intern for the NJ Muslim Voice for Progress and American Muslims for Democracy. She has been awarded 1st Place National Parks Service Oratorical Competition, 2nd Place in SJersey LLS Student of the Year Competition (raised 83k for blood cancer research), RYLA Conferee of the Year Semi-Finalist, and Model UN multiple Best Delegate and Honorable Mention awards. Usra will be attending Boston University for International Relations & Anthropology in the Fall. 

Ananya Balasubramanya

Ananya has been involved in Speech Team (Founder & Captain), Science Olympiad (President), Biology Club (President), Women in Science (President), DECA (Prep Captain), Amnesty International (President), Writing Club (President), Debate Team (Captain), Chemistry Club (President), and Mock Trial (Captain). In the community, she volunteers for NorthSouth Foundation and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She has been awarded NJ Governor’s School in the Sciences Scholar (2023), DECA International Career Development Conference Finalist (2022), DECA ICDC Qualifier (2022, 2023), President’s Volunteer Service Award - Gold (2022, 2023), National Speech and Debate Association National Qualifier Finalist (2022, 2023), Princeton Classic Speech Invitational Semifinalist (2022), Summit Speech Invitational 4th Place Speaker (2022), Randolph Speech Invitational Semifinalist (2023), SJ Debate League 3rd Place Varsity Team (2022), Scholastic Art and Writing Awards - Gold Key (2021, 2023), and National HS Poetry Contest Topical Winner (2023). 

Ava Bernstein

Ava has been involved in Tennis (Captain), Women in Science (VP), Anatomy Club (President/Founder), Women in Sports, Feminist Student Union/EmpowHER, Hospital Support Club, Social Studies NHS, Spanish NHS, English NHS, and Science NHS (VP of Tutoring). In the community, she volunteers for the Virtua Marlton Summer Junior Nursing Program. She has been awarded Best Team Spirit—East Girl’s Tennis (2022). Ava will be attending Northeastern University (John Martinson Honors Program) for Biology (Pre-Med) in the Fall. 

Asher Boiskin

Asher has been involved in Eastside Online (Editor-in-Chief/Opinions Editor/Global Commentary Editor), Model UN (Secretary-General), History Club (Co-President & Founder), SGA (School-Wide VP), Jewish Student Union, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he served as BBYO Chapter President of Chapel AZA #245, Delegate to the Jewish Youth Assembly of the World Jewish Congress (2x), U.S. Youth Ambassador to Brazil, Henry Clay Center Scholar, Camden County Board of Elections Volunteer Poll Worker, and American Legion Jersey Boys State Clerk of the Senate, State Senator, and Mayor. He is the first American to visit 30+ countries in 24 hours, acknowledged with a Congressional Commendation and national news coverage in 2022, and honored as an Admired Resident by a Joint Legislative Resolution of the NJ Senate and General Assembly in 2023. He was a National Journalism Quiz Bowl Finalist (2023), National History Quiz Bowl Team Qualifier (2x), World Is a Classroom/SYTA Essay Contest Winner, and recipient of the 2024 SJ Jewish Community Relations Council Next Gen Award. For his work with Eastside Online, Asher has helped Eastside earn the National Scholastic Press Association Online Pacemaker Award (2022) and received #1 spots for Personal Narrative Journalism, Breaking News, In-Depth Reporting, and Editorial Writing, #2 for Multimedia Sports and Multimedia Coverage, and #3 for Column Writing from the Garden State Scholastic Press Association. 

Natalie Borowsky

Natalie has been involved in Stay Tuned (Officer), Thespian Society, Spring Musical, One Acts (Stage Manager), Crimson Theater (Production Assistant), Belles of East, Camden Connections, Feminist Student Union, Jewish Student Union and Social Studies NHS. Outside of school, she is a Volunteer/Donor for the Jaffa Institute. She has been awarded Best Use of the Fourth Wall Award in One-Acts (2023). Natalie will be attending the University of Miami for Music Education in the Fall. 

Hannah Callahan

Hannah has been involved in Cheer (Captain), Soccer, Lacrosse, DECA (Leadership Team), Women in Sports (Communications/Secretary), SGA, Habitat for Humanity, HOSA, Hospital Support Club, English/French/Science/Social Studies NHS, and Cum Laude Society (VP of Tutoring). In the community, she is part of the Cherry Hill Soccer Club. She has been awarded the Cougar Award for Cheer (2023, 2024), DECA States 3rd Place IMCP (2022), DECA States Top 10 BOR (2023), DECA Regionals 1st Place (2023), DECA Regionals 2nd Place (2022), DECA ICDC qualifier (2022, 2024), DECA States 3rd Place PSE (2024) and AP Scholar with Honor (2023). 

Brian Cotter

Brian has been involved in Basketball(Captain), Golf(Captain), Football, Band, Choir, and Powderpuff Coach. He has been awarded Conference Champion - Basketball, Outstanding Supporting Player Award - Basketball, Conference Champion - Golf, Sectionals - Golf, Second Team All Conference - Golf, First Team All Conference - Golf, Conference Champion - Football, and Atlantic City Music Educators Convention - Wind Ensemble. Brian will be attending Drew University for Business and Golf in the Fall. 

Madeline Dold

Madeline has been involved in Girl’s Swimming (Captain), Eastside (Staff Photographer), Interact Club, Women in Sports Club, Photo Club, Powder Puff, Little Mentors, Spirit Week Dance, PAVAS, Social Studies/English NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has been a Special Olympics Swimming Volunteer Coach and Wexford Leas Junior Swim Team Volunteer Coach. She has been awarded NJ Journalism Online Photo Gallery Award- Honorable Mention (2021), East Girl’s Swimming Most Improved Swimmer (2023), SJ Aquatic Club Senior II group MVP (2023) & Most Improved Swimmer (2022), Wexford Leas Swim Team Jarvis Award for dedicated, disciplined, and spirited team member (2021) and East Student of Character (2023). Madeline will be attending Dickinson College for Swimming in the Fall. 

Jake Gilman

Jake has been involved in FOP (Chairperson/Overall Chairperson) UNICEF (Social Media Manager/Co-President) Holton’s Heroes (VP of Fundraising), EMC, ACT, SGA, Spirit Week Dance, RAK, Fall Play, Spring Musical, One-Acts (Director), Crimson Theatre (Production Assistant), Thespian Society, PAVAS, English/Spanish NHS and Cum Laude Society. Outside of school, he is a Volunteer for Tools for School. He has been awarded Excellence in Acting in One-Acts (2021) and Best Actor in One-Acts (2023). Jake will be attending the University of Maryland for Psychology in the Fall. 

Ella Goodstadt

Ella has been involved in Eastside (Editorial Assistant, Online Culture Editor, and Online Editor-in-Chief), Girls’ Tennis, SGA (9th & 10th grade rep), Beck Bridge Tutoring, Peer Leaders, JSU, English/Social Studies/Spanish/Quill & Scroll NHS and Cum Laude Society. She has been awarded AP Scholar Award (2023), National Pacemaker Award (2022), GSSPA Review Writing Honorable Mention (2023), and GSSPA Multimedia Feature Package Honorable Mention (2023). Ella will be attending the University of Maryland (College Park Scholars) for Journalism in the Fall. 

Raine Guidarelli

Raine has been involved in Cross Country (Captain), Winter Track (Captain), Spring Track (Captain), LiNK (Treasurer), Swimming, Lab Band, EMC, HOSA, Science Olympiad, Science NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he is a Cherry Hill Chinese Christian Church Youth Group Leader. He has been awarded Cross Country Newcomer of the Year Award (2020), Cross Country First Team All-Olympic Conference (2022, 2023), Cross Country Second Team All-Camden County (2022), Cross Country MVP Award (2022), Cross Country Cougar Award (2022), Winter Track Most Valuable Performance (2023), Spring Track 1600m Second Team All-Olympic Conference (2023), Eastside’s Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention (2023), AP Scholar with Distinction (2023), National Merit Commended Scholar (2023), Winter Track 1600m & 3200m Second Team All-Olympic Conference (2024), Winter Track 3200m Second Team All-Camden County (2024), and Olympic Conference Scholar-Athlete (2024). 

Gia Gupta

Gia has been involved in a plethora of clubs and activities inside and outside of Cherry Hill HS East that she does not wish to be named publicly online. She is still an integral part of the Cherry Hill East Class of 2024 Hall of Fame.

Ella Hampton

Ella has been involved in Tennis (Captain), Eastside (Online News/Culture Editor), Camden Connections Club (Co-President & Founder), Blood Drive (Chairperson), SGA, Mr. East (Chairperson) Peer Leaders, Science/English/Chinese/Spanish NHS, Social Studies NHS (President) and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she volunteers at the Animal Welfare Association. She has been awarded the Student of Character Award (2021, 2022), the NJ State Joint Legislative Resolution of Commendation & Tribute, and the U.S. Department of State, National Security Language Initiative for Youth Merit-based Scholarship (2022, 2023). She was also awarded the All-Group 4 Doubles Team Award (2022, 2023) and the Olympic All-Conference Award. In the Garden State Scholastic Press Association Individual Contests, she placed 1st for News Writing, 4th for Breaking News, and placed in the top 5 for the Multimedia News, Multimedia Feature and Podcast categories. Her multimedia package was a finalist in a National Scholastic Press Association contest and an International Quill and Scroll contest. 

Aviv Haroz

Aviv has been involved in the Spring Musical, One-Acts, Stay Tuned, ACT Club, Camden Connections, JSU, East Singers, Spirit Week Dance, PAVAS, English NHS, Social Studies NHS, and Cum Laude Society. Outside of school, he dances competitively at Studio 33 Dance Center. He has been awarded the Actor of the Year award (2023), Best One Act (2023), Best Monologue in One-Acts (2023), and Outstanding Soloist in the 2024 ICHSA Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals. 

Rachel Hornstein

Rachel has been involved in Thespian Society (President), ACT Club, Fall Show (Actor and Stage Manager), Spring Musical (ASM and Stage Manager), Crimson Theater(Stage Manager), One Acts (Director), Peer Leaders, Mr. East (Chairperson), Faculty Musical (Stage Manager), Concert Choir, Chansons, PAVAS, English NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, She has volunteered for Voorhees Theater Company. She has been awarded Best Play in One-Acts (2022,2023) Best Director in One Acts (2023) Best Message for One Acts (2023) Best Tableau for One Acts (2023) and Camden County Best of Class (2024). Rachel will be attending the Montclair State University for Film and Television in the Fall. 

Alexander Kang

Alex has been involved in Biology Club (Co-President), BRAC (President), DECA (Outreach Captain), EMC (Board Member), SGA (Junior Class VP), KCC (Traditional Percussion Officer), Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Standards, Saxophone/Clarinet Chamber, Pit Orchestra, PAVAS, Spanish/English/Science NHS (VP), and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he is the Founder & President of Patch heART Works and Principal Clarinetist of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. He has been awarded Top 6 DECA International Finalist (2023), National DECA Harry A. Applegate Scholarship (2024), Governor’s STEM Scholar (2023), The Korean Honor Scholarship by The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (2022), 3-time President’s Volunteer Service Gold Medal (2020-2023), All Eastern Honor Band Clarinetist (2023), All South Jersey Honor Band Concertmaster (1st chair 2023), 7-time Best Soloist Medal Recipient - Cavalcade of Bands Jazz Festivals (2022-2024), AP Scholar with Distinction (2023), National Merit Commended Scholar (2023), and more. Alex will be attending the University of Pennsylvania for study in the Vagelos Life Sciences & Management (LSM) Program in the Fall. 

Eloise Kipnis

Eloise has been involved in Girls Soccer, Women in Sports (President/Secretary), Ethics Team (Co-Captain), Student Voice Committee (Co-Head), Peer Leaders Board Member), Mr. East (Chairperson), SGA, FOP, Spanish/Science/Social Studies/English NHS and Cum Laude Society (Secretary). She has been awarded the Cougar Award Girls Soccer (2022), National Merit Commended Scholar (2022), and AP Scholar with Distinction (2023). Eloise will be attending the University of Michigan for Mathematics and Philosophy in the Fall.  

Jillian Koenig

Jillian has been involved in Eastside (Editor-in-Chief), Girls Who Code (VP), Spirit Week Dance (Co-choreographer), Mr. East (Dance Chairperson), Girls Tennis, Bridge Tutoring, FOP, Spanish/English/Science/Social Studies/Quill & Scroll NHS and Cum Laude Society (VP of Tutoring). She has been awarded National Merit Commended Scholar (2023), AP Scholar Award (2023), NSPA Online Pacemaker Award (2022), JEA National Student Media Contests Honorable Mention in Feature Writing (2023), and NSPA Multimedia News Story of the Year Honorable Mention (2023). Jillian will be attending Emory University for Computer Science in the Fall.  

Ross Koenig

Ross has been involved in Model UN (Secretary General/Planning Committee), DECA (Leadership Committee/Head of Recruitment Committee), JSU (Officer), Stay Tuned, Mock Trial, SGA, and Science Olympiad. In the community, he has volunteered for the American Numismatic Association as a Guest Editorial Writer and Summer Seminar Coin Auction Helper. He has been awarded the 2024 Young Numismatist of the Year (2024 from American Numismatic Association), Q. David Bowers Literary Award (2023 from American Numismatic Association), Summer Seminar Scholarship Award (2023 and 2024 from American Numismatic Association), Jaclyn Ehrlich Travel Experience Award (2023 from Jewish Community Foundation), Model UN Awards (Best Position Paper, Honorable Mention, Best Novice - 2021-2024), DECA Awards (1st Place at Regionals, Exemplary Test Score, 2nd Place at States, 4th Place at States - 2021-2024), and Homecoming Court (2023). 

Andrew Langmuir

Andrew has been involved in DECA (Prep Team Captain), Boys Swim Team (3-year varsity), Model UN (Crisis Director), Mock Trial (Plaintiff/Prosecution Attorney), Beck Bridge Tutoring, Business & Marketing Club, English/Social Studies/Science/French NHS (President), and Cum Laude Society (President). In the community, he volunteers for the Cherry Hill Food Pantry and is a tutor and public speaking teacher at Best in Class Education Center. He has been awarded DECA ICDC 1st Place (2023), 4x Model U.N. Best Delegate, AP Scholar with Distinction, National Merit Finalist, NJ State Seal of Biliteracy in French, and more. 

Jiwoo Lee

Jiwoo has been involved in SGA (Junior Year School VP, Class VP 9th, 10th & 12th grade), Volleyball (Captain), KCC (President/Main Choreographer), Eastside (News/Photo/Features Editor), LiNK (President), National English Honor Society (President), HOSA (VP), DECA (ICDC Qualifier), Science Olympiad, Science/Spanish/Quill and Scroll NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is a Research Intern at the Drexel University College of Medicine, a Youth Leader of the Asian Liver Center at Stanford University, Hospital Volunteer at the Virtua Marlton Hospital, a NJ Governor’s STEM Scholar, and Tutor at the Kumon Math & Reading Center. She has been awarded the Volleyball Cougar Award (2021), Al Neuharth Free Spirit Award (2023), Quest for Excellence New Americans Award (2023), National Pacemaker Award (2022), KAGROPA Award (2024), AAASJ Second Place Essay (2024), HOSA 6th Place Medical Spelling (2022), JEA/NSPA National Journalism Convention First Place in Multimedia News Package (2023), JEA/NSPA National Journalism Digital News Story of the Year Finalist (2023), International Quill and Scroll Society Multimedia News Finalist (2023), and GSSPA Journalism Awards (2020-2024). Jiwoo will be attending the University of Pennsylvania for Biology in the Fall.  

Kyle Lehrfeld

Kyle has been involved in Blood Drive (Overall Chairperson), JSU (Head of Recruitment), DECA (Outreach Team Captain), SGA (Freshman Class VP, Sophomore Class Rep), English/Social Studies/Science NHS, Spanish NHS (Junior VP), Interact Club, Fall & Spring Show Stage Crew, UNICEF, Future Entrepreneurs, Key Club, Career Club, Eastside, and Future Lawyers Association. In the community, he has volunteered as Andy Kim for Congress Intern, President of South Jersey Region BBYO, Beth El Teaching Assistant, JCRC Community Volunteer and attended the American Legion’s Jersey Boys State. He has been awarded Camden County Best in Class (2024), Next Gen Israel Advocacy Award (2023), DECA Awards (1st Place NJ State, 2nd Place NJ State, 2nd Place NJ State, 5th Place NJ State) Federation of Men’s Clubs Youth of the Year (2023), NJ State DECA Scholarship Recipient (2024) Harris & Arlene Colton Junior College Scholarship Award (2022), and the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award (2021, 2022, 2023). Kyle will be attending McGill University for Political Science & Economics in the Fall. 

Sophia Liu

Sophia has been involved in Eastside (Editor-in-Chief), Girls Tennis (Captain, 1st Singles), Girls Who Code (President), Math Club (President), Interact Club, French/English/Social Studies/Science NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has led a campaign to raise $65,420 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and volunteered for STEM Explorers at the Cherry Hill Public Library. She has been awarded Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar, National Merit Scholarship Winner, Presidential Scholar Nominee, NJ Governor’s School of Engineering & Technology (GSET) Scholar, Delaware Valley Science Council Excellence in Science Award, 1st Place NJ AWIS STEM Scholarship, AIME Qualifier, USACO Silver Qualifier, Congressional App Challenge Winner, Princeton AI4ALL Scholar, MIT URTC Presenter, 1st Place Janssen Award for Cardiovascular & Metabolic Research in the Delaware Valley Science Fair, 1st Place in Computer Science in the Coriell Science Fair, NSPA Pacemaker Award, 1st Place for Multimedia Features Package by the International Quill & Scroll Society, Superior Rating for Online News Package in the JEA National Student Media Contests, 1st Place in In-Depth Reporting by GSSPA, Best of SNO, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Hero Award, President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award, All SJ Singles Player, the Jeff Holman Good Sportsmanship Award, SJTCA Career Achievement and Captain’s Award, and Camden County Tennis Champion. Jenna McGovern

Jenna has been involved in Girls Basketball (Captain), Girls Soccer, Girls Lacrosse, FOP (Chairperson), Women In Sports (Fundraising Coordinator), Morgan’s Message (East chapter founder, organization ambassador), Habitat for Humanity, Peer Leaders, Powder Puff, Spirit Week Dance, STAR Games volunteer, SGA, Superintendent Selection Conference, Positive Coaching Alliance, English NHS and Social Studies NHS (VP). She has been awarded Student of Character (2022), Girls Basketball Hard Hat Award (2022), Lacrosse Cougar Award (2022), Eastside Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention (2023), New Egypt Basketball Winter Classic All-Tournament Team (22-23 Season) and Olympic Conference Scholar Athlete (2024). Jenna will be attending Widener University for Biology and Soccer in the Fall. 

Vedant Menon

Vedant has been involved in SGA (Junior & Senior Class VP, and 9th/10th grade rep), Camden Connections (Treasurer), Finance Club (President of the Fund), DECA, Football, Indian Culture Society, Beck Bridge Tutoring Business/Marketing Club, Track Manager, and Social Studies/Spanish NHS. In the community, he volunteers for the Cherry Hill Food Pantry. Vedant will be attending Fordham University for Business in the Fall. 

Aaliyah Mezilus

Aaliyah has been involved in Interact (VP), MENA (VP), Yearbook (Co Editor in Chief), Future Engineers (Social Media Manager), Photography Club (Co President), Wrestling (Manager), AACC, PAWS, Art Club, Stage Crew, Culinary Club, Little Mentors, Bridge Tutoring, Conservation Club, Cheer, Color Guard, French Club, FCS, ASL Club, PAVAS and Peer Leaders. She has been awarded Student of Character (2022), People’s Choice Award (2022), and West Point Leadership Award (2022). 

Sara Montaquila

Sara has been involved in Stage Crew (with roles such as Master Carpenter and Student Technical Director) for Crimson Theater, Fall Show, Spring Musical, One-Acts and Multi-Cultural Day. She is also part of Thespian Society (Publicist), Yearbook (Co Editor & Chief) and PAVAS. She has been awarded Technician of the Year (2023), Student of Character (Dec 2023) and Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards Foxy Nominee for Outstanding Achievement by a Student Scenic Design Technician for A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2024). 

Ajuni Oberoi

Ajuni has been involved in Girls Golf (Captain), SGA, Chemistry Club (President), Writing Club (VP), Feminist Student Union (Representative), Indian Cultural Society, Model UN, Science/Spanish/English NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she volunteers for MEDLife (Director of Engagement), Young Khalsa Girls, Discover Healthcare, Girl Scouts and Kumon (Center Assistant). She has been awarded Girls Golf Olympic Conference First Team (2021, 2022, 2023), Girls Golf South Jersey Sectionals Medalist (6th place - 2022), Rowan Reading Clinic Competition Winner (2021) and the NJSIAA Scholar Athlete award for East (2024). Ajuni will be attending Siena College for Biology (Albany Med BA/MD Program) in the Fall. 

Thomas Piotrowski

Thomas has been involved in SGA (Junior & Senior Class President), Soccer (Captain), Baseball, Basketball, Athletes Against Bullying and Camden Connections Club. He has been awarded the School Spirit for the 2024 Camden County Best of Class Awards, Olympic Conference 2nd team soccer (2022), Olympic Conference 1st team soccer (2023), 2nd team All South Jersey goalie (2023), East Soccer Defensive MVP (2022, 2023), All-South Jersey Soccer Senior All Star Game (2023), 2nd Team All State (2023), 1st Team All State South (2023), Karl Moehlmann Award (2023) and NJ Senior All Star Game (2023). Thomas will be attending The Ohio State University for Business in the Fall. 

Trevor Preece

Trevor has been involved in Thespian Society (VP), Crimson Theater (2022 Production Assistant/2023 Director), Fall Play (2022 Company Manager), Spring Musical (2023 Company Manager) One-Acts (2023 & 2024 Director), Mime Company, A.C.T. Club, Costume Crew, Faculty Musical, Interact Club, Feminist Student Union, Fashion Club, Mr. East, Peer Leaders and PAVAS. He has been awarded Best Director of a One Act (2023) Best One Act (2023) Best Tableaus in a One Act (2023) Best Overall Message in a One Act (2023) and Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards Foxy Nominee for Outstanding Actor in an Elevated Language Play for his role of Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2024). Trevor will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology for Fashion Design in the Fall. 

Affan Rahman

Affan has been involved in Muslim Student Association (Co-President), History Club (VP), Beck Bridge Tutoring (Leader), Interact (Secretary), Peer Leaders, Unicef , TedEd Student Talks/Speech Team, Photography Club, Football, MCD, Social Studies/Science /Spanish (Secretary) NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he volunteers for GCLEA Mosque (Head Male Camp Counselor), Masjid Al-Bayan (Volunteer/Speaker), Masjid Freehaven (Volunteer/Speaker), Community SJP, MACA Mosque and AR Squared Car Detailing Business (Founder). He has been awarded AP Scholar with Honor (2023), History Bowl Nationals Qualifier (2023), TedEd Student Talks Certification (2022), NJ Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, and 2x National History Bowl Qualifier (2023, 2024). Affan will be attending Rowan University (Honors College) for Biology in the Fall.

Matthew has been involved in Eastside (Managing Editor/Print Global Commentary Editor), BOE Student Representative, Boys Soccer, Model UN (Conference Coordinator/Committee Developer), Mock Trial (Lead Defense Attorney), Rosa Bridge Tutoring, Greek Heritage Club, History Club, Peer Leaders, Social Studies/Quill & Scroll NHS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he has volunteered as a Congressional Intern for Congressman Andy Kim, as a board member of LEAP for Climate, and at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church. He was selected as a NJ Boys State Representative and has been awarded GSSPA Best Opinion Writing Honorable Mention (2023), GSSPA Online Multimedia Package Honorable Mention (2023), NSPA Online Pacemaker Award (2022), National Journalism Quiz Bowl Finalist (2023), Model UN Best Delegate, National Merit Commended Scholar (2023), NJ Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish, AP Scholar with Distinction (2023), Best Presentation on Political Reform by the Eisenhower Institute (2022), the Mat Noel Scholarship from the Noel Soccer Foundation (2024), and the Academic Achievement Award for East Boys Soccer (2023). Matthew will be attending Cornell University for Government & Philosophy in the Fall. 

Ava Richman

Ava has been involved in Field Hockey (Captain), Blood Drive (Chairperson), Eastside (Business Manager) UNICEF (Social Media Manager), Holton’s Heroes (VP of Events), Basketball, FOP, DECA, Women in sports and Social Studies NHS (VP). In the community, she has volunteered for ACHAD and Techo/Siempre Amigos. She has been awarded Field Hockey MVP Attack, (2021 & 2023) Field Hockey MVP (2020) and 3rd Place overall (Financial Consulting DECA). Ava will be attending the University of Wisconsin for Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies in the Fall.
