Class of 2023 Senior Hall of Fame

Alicia Albuquerque 

Alicia has been involved in Swim Team (Captain), FOP (Chairperson), Environmental Club (President), CHE Women in Sports, and Chemistry Club. In the community, she has volunteered with Rosa’s National History Day Club. She has been awarded All State 1st Team 200 Free Relay (‘20-‘21 and ‘21-‘22), Most Improved Swimmer (‘20-‘21), NJSIAA State Championship 200 Free Relay (2022) and National Merit Honors Scholar (2022). Alicia will be attending the University of Rochester in the Fall for Geological Sciences/Swimming. 

Akshay Anand

Akshay has been involved in Robotics (Regional and States), Peer Leader, Yearbook (Editor), MCD (Board Member), ICS, Bridge Tutoring, Physics Club, Future Engineers Club, East e-Sports, French NHS, English NHS, Science NHS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he has been a Youth Volunteer Leader with an NGO, tutoring underprivileged students. He has been awarded Presidential Volunteer Service Award (GOLD - ‘19, ‘20, ‘21 & ‘22), AP Scholar (‘22), National Merit Commended Scholar (‘22), Janssen Research at DVSF in Cardiovascular Metabolic Research Award (‘21), Coriell Science Fair 1st Place in Medicine & Health Research (‘21), was a 3 time Robotics Regional Tournament Champion, 2 time State Qualifier, was awarded the Design Award, Governor School Finalist (‘22) and All SJ Choir Member. 

Benjamin Bannett

Benjamin has been involved in Marching Band (Drumline Captain), Freshman Wind Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Pit Orchestra and is a member of PAVAS. In the community, he has participated and volunteered in the Boy Scouts of America, JCC Camps and Temple Beth Sholom. 

Adam Borenstein

Adam has been involved in Eastside (Online Sports Editor), Football (Manager), Basketball (Manager), and Baseball Public Address Announcer. In the community, he has participated in BBYO and was a counselor at the JCC Camps in Medford. Adam will be attending Temple University in the Fall for Sports and Recreation Management. 

Katie Bristow

Katie has been involved in Field Hockey (Captain), Women in Sports (Event Coordinator), Girls Golf, Italian American Club (Chairperson), FOP, Social Studies NHS and Science NHS. She has been awarded the Field Hockey Player’s Player Award (‘20) and Second Team All Conference for Field Hockey (‘22). Katie will be attending Virginia Tech in the Fall for Elementary Education. 

Stevie Brown

Stevie has been involved in Soccer, SGA (Class Rep), Basketball, Peer Leaders, Athletes Against Bullying, FOP, DECA, Fashion Club, Blood Drive, Spirit Week Banner design, Science NHS, English NHS, and Spanish NHS. In the community, she has volunteered for Tools for Schools, Pen Pal for Life at Lion’s Gate Voorhees and Quarantutors. She has been awarded National Merit Scholarship Qualifier (‘20). Stevie will be attending the University of Wisconsin in the Fall for Business/Marketing. 

Amanda Chen

Amanda has been involved in Chinese Student Association (Co-President/Co-Choreographer), Marching Band (Assistant Drum Major/Field Captain), Esports (Co-President/Admin), Wind Ensemble (First Chair Flute/Piccolo), Symphony Orchestra, Hospital Support Club, DECA, Public Wellness Committee & Athletics Committee, Cum Laude Society, Spanish NHS, Science NHS, and PAVAS. In the community, she has worked as a Teacher & Dance Assistant for the Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School. She has been awarded 1st Chair Piccolo for All South Jersey Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Amanda will be attending Emory University in the Fall. 

Natalie Finkelstein

Natalie has been involved in Culinary Club (Founder & President), Eastside (Media Editor/Director), Feminist Student Union (Bodily Autonomy and Sexual Wellness Board Chair), French Club (Secretary), STEM Club (Secretary), Social Studies NHS (VP), Peer Leader, ), Model UN, Women in Sports, Interact, Little Mentors, French NHS, English NHS, Science NHS, Social Studies NHS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is on the ZZ Dance Team and volunteers as a ZZ Dance Ambassador, Joseph’s House Donator and BookSmiles Sorter. She has been awarded NSPA Honor Roll of Student Journalists, Best Novice of Model UN (2020), AP Scholar with Honor (2022), Quill and Scroll 2nd Place Climate and Environment Writing (2022), Quill and Scroll 1st Place Group Multimedia Feature Package (2022), GSSPA 1st Place Broadcast Segment (2022), and helped Eastside earn the Online National Pacemaker Award (2022). 

Arsha Garg

Arsha has been involved in UNICEF Unite (President), Future Entrepreneurs (Co-founder/VP), Indian Cultural Society (Co-president), DECA (Leadership Team), SGA Class Rep, Bridge, Peer Leaders, Spanish NHS, Coffeehouse, Interact, Crimson Theater, American Red Cross Club, and more. In the community, she is a Classical Rhythms Dance Academy Senior Student/Social Media Manager and Cherry Hill Public Library Teen Summer Volunteer. She has been awarded a Degree in Kathak Dance through Bharati Vidyapeeth University (2023), DECA States 5th Place in Food Marketing (2023), DECA States 6th Place in Buying and Merchandising Operations Research (2023), and DECA State Qualifier (2020, 2021, 2022). Arsha will be attending the University of Maryland in the Fall for Computer Science/Marketing. 

Hannah Golden

Hannah has been involved in SGA (Rep), DECA (Leadership Committee), JSU (VP), Spirit Week Dance (Choreographer), Women in Business, STEM Club and Miracle League. In the community, she is in BBYO, Jazz Unlimited Dance, Marlton Sports Unity and SPEAK Walk. She has been awarded DECA International 1st Place Finance Operations Research Paper (2022), DECA States 1st and 4th Place (2022) and DECA States 2nd Place (2021). Hannah will be attending the University of Florida in the Fall for Marketing. 

Sophie Heidt

Sophie has been involved in DECA (Leadership Committee), SGA (Class Rep), JSU (Recruiter), Blood Drive (Chairperson), Spirit Week (Choreographer), Mr. East (Chairperson), Basketball, Tennis, Women in Business, Boys Lacrosse (Manager), STEM Club, Interact, Cum Laude Society and Science NHS. In the community, she has been in BBYO, Tools for Schools and ZZ Dance. She has been awarded Character Ed Award (2021), DECA International 1st Place Finance Operations Research Paper (2022), DECA States 1st and 4th Place (2022), AP Scholar (2022), BBYO N’siah (president) of the Year (2021-22) and BBYO Aym-Ha Chaverot (VP of Membership) of the Year (2020-21). Sophie will be attending the University of Florida in the Fall for Marketing. 

Maya Hemo

Maya has been involved in Wrestling (Captain), Softball (Manager/Athletic Trainer) and Athletes Against Bullying. She has been awarded NSHSS Member (2022), Girls Wrestling MVP (2022,2020), BOE Recognition by Mayor (2022), SJWCOA award 2x (2022), Top Winter Athlete South Jersey Magazine (2021), #1 in the State and Region for Girls Wrestling (2022), Student of Character (2022) and All American (2023). 

Alec Herring

Alec has been involved in Boys Varsity Soccer (Captain), CH Positive Coaching Alliance, Golf, Athletes Against Bullying, Sports Discussion Club, History Club, English NHS and Social Studies NHS. In the community, he volunteers for the Jewish Family & Children's Services (JFCS) and Camden County NJ Miracle League. He has been awarded Boys Varsity Soccer 1st Team All Olympic Conference (2022), Boys Varsity Soccer Offensive MVP (2022), Boys Varsity Soccer "Golden Boot" Award (2022), Boys Varsity Soccer Karl Moehlmann Spirit Award (2022), Boys Varsity Soccer 2nd Team All Olympic Conference (2021), Boys Varsity Soccer Coaches Award (2021) and Cougar Award for Soccer (2021). Alec will be attending the University of South Carolina in the Fall for Exercise Science. 

Ray Jing

Ray has been involved in Biological Research Apparatus Club (Founder and President), Boys Swim Team, Interact Club, Future Doctors of America, Spirit Week Dance Competition, Freshman Winds, Wind Ensemble, Lab Band, Science NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he is a Chanticleer Swim Club Chief Lifeguard and Pool Supervisor, Special Olympics New Jersey coach assistant at South Jersey Aquatic Club, and Research and volunteer biomedical researcher at Thomas Jefferson University Computational Medicine Center. He has been awarded Student of Character (2022), SJAC Most Improved Swimmer Award (2021) and East Boys Swim Athletic Awards (2019-2022). Ray will be attending Lehigh University in the Fall for Biological Sciences.

Joelle Kang

Joelle has been involved in Varsity Girls Volleyball (Captain), SGA (Freshman Class VP), SGA Class Rep, YELL Club (Co-founder & Co-President), DECA (Leadership Board Member), Symphony Orchestra (Co-Concertmaster), East String Quartet, Pit Orchestra, KCC, Spanish NHS (Treasurer), English NHS, Science NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has worked with the Korean School of Southern NJ, Edelweiss Ensemble at Laurelbrook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and Dancing with the Cherry Hill Stars. Vanessa Koku

Vanessa has been involved in African American Culture Club (President/VP), New Student Ambassador, Interact, Feminist Student Union, Hospital Support Club and the Principal Advisory Committee. In the community, she has volunteered for the I Am Chosen Foundation. She has been awarded Student of Character (2021) and People’s Choice (2023). Vanessa will be attending Drexel University in the Fall for Management Information Systems.  

Brielle Lampf

Brielle has been involved in Interact (President/VP/Fundraising Chair), Eastside (Print Editor-in-Chief/Online Opinions Editor/Opinions Editor), Varsity Bowling, and Peer Leaders. In the community, she volunteered for the BOE Campaign. She has been awarded National Journalism Honor Roll/Quill and Scroll (2021,2022,2023), Best of SNO ~ A Deeper Look Into Eating Disorders (2020-2021), Best of SNO ~ Political Polarization and Politics in Schools (2020-2021), Best of SNO ~ Mental Health Awareness Month (2020-2021), GSSPA Layout & Design 2nd Place (2021), GSSPA Multimedia News 1st Place (2022), GSSPA LGBTQ+Coverage (2022), NSMC/JEA Editorial Writing Contest Honorable Mention ~ National Award (2021), 2022 Online Pacemaker Award (2022) and Student of Character (2022). Brielle will be attending James Madison University (Honors College) in the Fall for Psychology. 

Derrin Lerner

Derrin has been involved in Boys Varsity Tennis (Captain), Robotics Club, Lab Band, Freshman Wind Ensemble, Bridge Tutoring, East Literature Club, Physics Club, Computer Science Club, East Musicians on Call, Science NHS, Spanish NHS, PAVAS and DECA (Regionals + States). In the community, he is in BBYO and works at Berlin Voorhees Tennis Center. He has been awarded Boys Varsity Tennis South Jersey Sportsmanship Award (2022), Boys Varsity Tennis NJSLA Singles State Tournament Quarterfinalist (2022), Boys Varsity Tennis Group IV Champions (2021,2022), Boys Varsity Tennis Singles Olympic Conference Finalist (2022), Boys Varsity Tennis South Jersey Interscholastic Tournament Quarterfinalist (2022), and Boys Varsity Tennis Moorestown Classic Team Winners (2022). Derrin will be attending Lafayette College in the Fall for Engineering. 

Angelina Li

Angelina has been involved in Hospital Support Club (Founder and President), Chinese Student Association (Co-President/VP), Girls Who Code (Volunteer Coordinator), Girls’ Volleyball Team (Co-Captain), Public Wellness Committee, KCC, VCC, Science NHS, English NHS, Spanish NHS, BC2M, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is Founder and Executive Director for a tutoring nonprofit organization called Felt Initiative, a Pediatric Specialty Care Center Volunteer, Volunteer Lead and Supervisor for Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School, a Biology Laboratory Assistant, a Pediatric Dentist Volunteer, and more. She has been awarded President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award, National Merit Commended Scholar, and AP Scholar with Distinction. Angelina will be attending the University of Pennsylvania in the Fall for Biology (Pre-Med).  

Gina Liu

Gina has been involved in SGA (Junior and Senior year All School VP - head of the Public Wellness Committee, Freshman & Sophomore Class President), Student Voice Committee (Co-founder), PLC Rep, Ethics, Social Studies NHS, English NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has volunteered for The Bridge Empowerment Program at Virtua, Rise Against Hate Nonprofit, Cherry Hill Students for Later Start Times and District Committee for Investigating Later Start Times. She has been awarded Best Poet of the Year Recipient (2022), The President’s Volunteer Service Award - Gold (2021), VP for the NJ Association for Student Councils (2022-23 – 1st CHE student to ever receive this honor), and a Gates Scholarship Recipient. Gina will be attending Columbia University in the Fall for Public Health/Anthropology (Pre-Med). 

Sean Murphy

Sean has been involved in Blood Drive (Chairperson), Lacrosse (Captain), Basketball (Captain), SGA, FOP, Miracle League and Athletes Against Bullying. In the community, he is a Lifeguard at Wexford Leas Swim Club. He has been awarded Lacrosse offensive player of the year (2022) and he holds the CHE Lacrosse record for the most goals and points in a single game. Sean will be attending the University of Delaware in the Fall.

Kiran Muttathil

Kiran has been involved in SGA (VP and Rep), Ethics Team (Captain), Model UN (Officer), Women in Sports (Founder/President), Peer Leaders (Founder/President), Cum Laude Society (VP), Blood Drive (Chairperson), LINK (Treasurer), Varsity Field Hockey, English NHS, Spanish NHS, Social Studies NHS, & Indian Cultural Society. In the community she is a CHPS Students for Later Start Times board member/organizer, 2x NJ Leadership Training Conference delegate, Fervent Church ministry volunteer, and played club field hockey at SJ Edge. She has been awarded the Girls Field Hockey Cougar Award (2021), National Merit Commended Scholar (2022), AP Scholar with Distinction (2021), 9x Model UN Delegate awards (2019, 2020, 2021), and the NC State Park Scholarship (2023). Kiran will be attending North Carolina State University in the Fall as a Park Scholar for Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Materials Science & Engineering.  

Sophie Neuwirth

Sophie has been involved in Thespian Society (VP/Playbill Liaison), Feminist Student Union (Co-Founder & Board Member), Theatre, Softball, East Musicians on Call, Interact Club, Jewish Student Union, Women in Science, Science NHS, English NHS, PAVAS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is in BBYO (Chapter President, Chapter VP of Judaic Programming, Regional StandUp Chair & International Press Corps, Project Lev -- Buddy for students with special needs and S Jersey Jewish Community Voice Teen Journalism Program. She has been awarded Robert & Fannie Rosengarten Memorial Award (2021) -- presented by Hebrew school and Silver Star of Deborah Award (2022) - presented by BBYO International. Sophie will be attending Drexel University Honors College in the Fall for Chemistry. 

Maddie Paritsky

Maddie has been involved in HOSA (Secretary), Miracle League (President/VP), DECA, Varsity Boys Soccer Manager, Women in Sports, JSU, Peer Leaders, Spanish NHS, English NHS, Science NHS and Cum Laude Society. She has been awarded DECA Nationals 1st Place (2022). Maddie will be attending the University of Maryland Honors College in the Fall for Biology. 

Sidd Pejavara

Sidd has been involved in SGA (Junior & Senior Class President, Freshman & Sophomore Class VP), Peer Leaders (Board Member), Countrymen, Lab Band, Jazz Band, Indian Cultural Society, Track, Basketball, DECA, Sports Discussion Club, English NHS, Science NHS, and Miracle League (1,2,3,4). In the community, he is a Blood Drive volunteer. He has been awarded 3rd place at DECA States (2022), 1st Place at DECA Regionals (2022), and National Commended Scholar (2022). Sidd will be attending Georgia Tech in the Fall for Economics. 

Evan Pfeiffenberger

Evan has been involved in Soccer (Captain), Volleyball (Captain), Miracle League, English NHS, Science NHS, Social Studies NHS, Spanish NHS and Cum Laude Society. He has been awarded Soccer 2nd Team All Conference (2021), Soccer Defensive MVP (2021), Soccer First Team All Conference (2022), Soccer Defensive MVP (2022), Volleyball 2nd Team All Conference (2022) and Olympic Conference Scholar Award (2023). Evan will be attending the University of Maryland in the Fall for Mechanical Engineering. 

Kate Pierlott

KP has been involved in Girls Varsity Soccer (Captain), Italian American Club (Co-Founder/President), A.CT. (Co-Vice President), Social Studies NHS (Co-Vice President), English NHS (Creative Director of Media), SGA Rep, Girls Golf, Ethics Bowl Team, Girls Basketball, Women in Sports, Habitat for Humanity, Miracle League, Latin NHS, PAVAS, Peer Leaders and Cum Laude Society. She has been awarded the Girls Soccer Cougar Award (2021), Student of Character (2022), Positive Coaching Alliance(2021) and Best Teammate Award (Soccer 2022). KP will be attending Loyola University Maryland in the Fall for Communications/Public Relations with a Theater minor.  

Vivian Rong

Vivian has been involved in Writing Club (Founder and President), Eastside (Online Editor-in-Chief), Model UN (Secretary-General), Demo (Editor-in-Chief), BOE (Student Alternate Rep), French NHS, Science NHS, English NHS, Social Studies NHS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community she is the PeerAdapt Founder and President, Mindwise Founder and President, a Yale Young Global Scholar, Kenyon Review Young Writer, and author of poetry chapbook Listen Up and children’s book Polly’s Lucky Charms. She has been awarded multiple Model UN awards including Best Delegate (2021) and Best Position Paper (2021), NSPA Multimedia Journalist of the Year National Top Ten Finalist (2022), National Merit Scholarship Program Letter of Commendation (2022), President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award (2022), 9 Scholastic Writing Contest Keys including Gold Key Awards for Poetry (2022), Quill and Scroll Honorable Mention for Audio Podcast (2022), multiple GSSPA awards including First Place in In-Depth Reporting (2022), NSPA First Place Literary Magazine Photo Award (2020 & 2021), American HS Poets National Topical Winner with Publication (2021), Best of SNO Showcase Certificate (2020), and National Federation of State Poetry Societies Honorable Mention (2021). Vivian will be attending Harvard University in the Fall for English. 

Aiden Rood

Aiden has been involved in Eastside (Editor-in-Chief), Model UN (President), East BOE Student Rep, Spanish NHS, PAVAS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, they volunteered for Cherry Hill Students for Later School Start Times (Co-Founder/President), Ben Rood for BOE (Campaign Manager) and various national federal campaigns. They have been awarded National Commended Merit Student and have been a part of more than 20 individual and group awards for scholastic journalism at the state, national, and international levels. These include being named the #1 columnist in the state for two straight years by the Garden State Scholastic Press Association (GSSPA) and winning #3 in the world for in-depth reporting team by the International Quill & Scroll Society in 2022. They are also a member of the national nonprofit Start School Later’s student hall of hame. Additionally, they have won eight awards in Model UN competitions, including two for Best Delegate. They have been featured in the New York Times, Cherry Hill Sun, Courier Post, NJ Pen, Junior Scholastic, and Winchester Star. Aiden will be attending Mount Holyoke College in the Fall for Politics and Gender Studies.  

Miranda Rosenbaum

Miranda has been involved in Feminist Student Union (Co-Founder/Board Member with Feminist Media Specialty), Mime (Company Manager), Thespian Society (Historian Liaison), Theatre, Jewish Student Union, Interact, Actors Creating Theatre, Women in Science, Thespian Society, PAVAS, English NHS, Science NHS, Social Studies NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is involved in United Synagogue Youth and Project Lev at Congregation Beth El (1:1 aide). She has been awarded Moose's One Act Festival: Excellence in Acting (2021 and 2022), Best Script, Best Drama, and Moose’s Choice Award (2023). Miranda will be attending Rutgers University in the Fall for Animal Science (Pre-Veterinary Medicine). 

Ayza Sayany

Ayza has been involved in Interact (VP), Women in Sports (Founder/President), SGA (Sophomore & Junior Class VP), Peer Leaders (Board Member), MSA (President), Student Voice Committee, Social Studies NHS, Science NHS, Spanish NHS, English NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is a Figure Skating Volunteer Coach at Flyers Skate Zone, CommUNITY SJP & MFOSJ Volunteer, Raised $83,259 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Students for Later Start Times Board Member. She has been awarded the RYLA Essay Award (2022), South Jersey 2022 Student of the Year Runner Up for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (2022), AP Scholar with Honor Award, GSSPA (Garden State Scholastic Press Association) News-writing Award (2022), Rotary Scholarship (2023) and Best of Class Community Service Award (2023). Ayza will be attending University of Pittsburgh Honors College in the Fall for Psychology with a concentration in sports study. 

Trey Shaw

Trey has been involved in Boys Varsity Soccer(Captain) Boys Varsity Winter Track, and Boys Varsity Spring Track. He has been awarded Defensive MVP East Boys Soccer (2021,2022) Second Team Olympic American Conference Boys Soccer(2021), First Team All Olympic American Conference (2022) All South Jersey Boys Soccer (2022) All State Boys Soccer (2022) South Jersey Senior All-Star Game(2022) All-State Senior All-Star Game (2022), First Team Olympic Conference 4x100 Boys Spring Track (2021), Winter Track Best Performance 4x400 (2022), Second in the 400 meter Dash Group 4 South (2022) Four Year Varsity Plaque East Boys Soccer (2022), Karl Moehlmann Spirit Award Boys Soccer (2022), and Boys Soccer Cougar Award (2020). Trey will be attending Northern Kentucky University in the Fall to play Division 1 Soccer. 

Christopher Shin

Chris has been involved in SGA (Student Body President/Student Body VP), East Musicians on Call (Founder/President), Model UN (Co-President), Biology Club (President), Science Olympiad (President), Jazz Band (Lead Trumpet), Interact, KCC, Symphony & Pit Orchestra, PAVAS, English NHS, French NHS, Social Studies NHS, Science NHS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he volunteered for the Korean School of Southern New Jersey (KSSNJ) served on the Rowan Community Music School Advisory Council and is a founding member of the Jersey Piano Group (JPG). Elizabeth Sommeling

Lizzy has been involved in Varsity Soccer (Captain), Habitat for Humanity Club (President), French NHS (Treasurer), Freshman Basketball and FOP. She has been awarded Girls Soccer 1st Team All Olympic Conference (2021, 2022), Girls Soccer NJGSCA All-State Team (2021, 2022), Girls Soccer 'Top 20' Player in South Jersey (2021), and Girls Soccer Most Valuable Player (2022). Lizzy will be attending the University of Vermont in the Fall for Biological Sciences/Soccer. 

Brianna Swartz

Brianna has been involved in Spring Track (Captain), Winter Track (Captain), Amnesty International (Outreach Director), Peer Leaders, Interact Club, Hospital Support Club, Women in Science, Women in Sports, S.T.A.R.S. games, Spanish NHS, Science NHS, PAVAS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is part of Felt Initiative Nonprofit (Head of Training Committee), Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Willowdale Swim Club Swim (Training squad Volunteer). She has been awarded the People’s Choice Award (2019 and 2020), Cougar Award (2022), Coaches’ Award (2023), Student Enrichment Award (2023), Art Achievement Certificate (2019 and 2022), U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award (2019), Best Mural (2022), Student of Character (2022), Winner of 5 Age Group USA Triathlons and Ranked top 10 in NJ and top 75 in the USA (2019-2023), Top fundraiser for team CUREAGOUS for LLS, and Maccabi Games Top Scorer with 9 Gold Medals and 3 Silver (2019). Brianna will be attending Johns Hopkins University in the Fall for Neuroscience and Applied Mathematics. 

Lexi Tepper

Lexi has been involved in Winter Track (Captain), Spring Track (Captain), Cross Country (Captain), Spanish NHS (Secretary), Hospital Support Club and Amnesty International Club. She has been chosen for the All South Jersey Team (2020), selected for the All-Olympic Conference Team (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), received NJSIAA Honoree in the 2022 National Girls & Women’s in Sports Day Celebration (2022), recognized as Eastside’s 2022 Female Athlete of the Year (2022), XC Girl’s MVP (2022), MVP Spring Sprinter (2021), Newcomer of the year XC (2019), Winter Track Athlete of the year (2020, XC Coach’s Award (2020) and MVP Team Girls Spring Track (2022). Lexi will be attending the University of Maryland Baltimore County in the Fall for Biological Sciences/Cross Country/Track & Field. 

Anthony Torrissi

Anthony has been involved in Crimson Theater, Fall Show, Spring Musical, One Acts, Thespian Society, PAVAS and Speech Team. He has been awarded Best Supporting Actor in One Acts (2022). Anthony will be attending Camden County College in the Fall. 

Carlotta Vingelli

Carlotta has been involved in Thespian Society (President), Stay Tuned (Officer), Crimson Theater (Director), One Acts (Director), Chansons, East Singers, Spanish NHS, English NHS, Fall Play, Spring Musical, Italian American Club, East Musicians on Call and PAVAS. In the community, she is a Junior Joshu & First Degree Black Belt at Tiger Schulmann's MMA. She has been awarded the People’s Choice Award (2021), Best Supporting Actress (2021/Nominated Best Supporting Actress 2022), Best Director of a One Act (2022), Moose's Choice of a One Act (2022), Best Director (2022), Moose’s Choice Award (2022), Best Broad Comedy (2023) Best Play Intro (2023), Thespis Award (2023) and Student of Character (2022). Carlotta will be attending Drexel University in the Fall for Culinary Science. 

Angelina Wang

Angelina has been involved in Thespian Society (VP), Chinese NHS (Officer & Co-President), Badminton Club (Treasurer), Belles of East (Officer), Stay Tuned, Theater, Chinese Student Association, Korean Culture Club, Boys Volleyball (Manager), Hospital Support Club, PAVAS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she volunteers for the CH Hua Xia Chinese School and the CH Chinese Christian Church. She has been awarded Best Actress in One-Acts (2021), Moose Award in One Acts (2022), Stage Manager Award (2022), Seal of Biliteracy (2022), People’s Choice Award (2023), Presidential Volunteer Gold Award (2022-2023), Best of Class Performing Arts Award (2023), Thespis Award (2023) and Best Stage Manager Award (2023). Angelina will be attending Rutgers University School of Business in the Fall for Business Analytics and Information Technology.  

Brooke Warren

Brooke has been involved in Cum Laude Society (President), Feminist Student Union (Cofounder/Board Member), East Musicians on Call (Treasurer), Thespian Society (Publicity), Mime Company, Crimson Theatre, Fall Show, Spring Musical, One-Acts, French NHS, English NHS, Social Studies NHS, Science NHS, PAVAS, Choir and Voce. Outside of school, she has been involved in All State Choir, All South Jersey Choir, and Habitat for Humanity. She has been awarded Excellence in Film Acting for One Acts (2021), Excellence in Theatre Acting for One Acts (2022) and the John Royce Agner Memorial Scholarship for music. Brooke will be attending Berklee College of Music in the Fall for Music Education. 

Lauren Winslow

Lauren has been involved in Eastside Online (Editor-In-Chief/Global Commentary Editor), Social Studies NHS (President), Athletes Against Bullying (Officer), Choir, English NHS, Spanish NHS, Cum Laude Society, Girls Basketball, Women in Sports, Feminist Student Union, and Girls Soccer. In the community, she is the Managing Student Editor for The Rocky, a student newspaper for the greater Philadelphia area. She has been awarded Best of SNO (2022), GSSPA Third Place for Multimedia News, GSSPA Third Place for Multimedia Features, GSSPA Honorable Mention for Multimedia Features, GSSPA Honorable Mention for Column Writing (2022), NSPA Honor Roll (2021, 2022), Quill and Scroll Honor Society (2021, 2022), National Society of High School Scholars (2021, 2022), and NSPA Pacemaker Award (2022). Lauren will be attending Elon University in the Fall for Journalism & Sports Management (Communications Fellow). 

Grant Yoon

Grant has been involved in SGA (Sophomore Class VP/11th Grade Schoolwide VP/Senior Class VP), Peer Leaders (Board Member), Cross Country (Captain), Winter Track, Spring Track, and Demogorgon Literary Magazine. In the community, he volunteers for the Cherry Hill Public Library and was a core member of CHPS students for later start times. He has been awarded National Merit Commended Student (2022), AP Scholar with Distinction (2022), AP Scholar (2021), Cross Country Coach's Award (2022), Cross Country Cougar Award (2022), and Cross Country Olympic Conference All-Conference 2nd Team (2022). Grant will be attending The College of William and Mary as a 1693 Scholar in the Fall. 

Alena Zhang

Alena has been involved in Writing Club (Founder & President), Eastside (Editor-in-Chief), Rosa Bridge Tutoring (Leader), Symphony and Pit Orchestra (Principal Violinist), Quartet, Amnesty International (VP), Science Olympiad, Science NHS (VP), English NHS, Spanish NHS, PAVAS, and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she is in the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (Associate Principal), and she has served as the Volunteer Lead and Supervisor for CH HuaXia Chinese School and as a Student Volunteer for Project Brother Love. She is a Scholastic Art & Writing National Medalist, JEA/NSPA High School Journalism Convention Poetry Contest 1st & 2nd Place Winner, Quill and Scroll International Journalism Contest 3rd Place Winner for In-Depth Reporting, author of the children’s book Reese’s Escape From Sugarland, National Merit Commended Scholar, AP Scholar with Distinction, Valedictorian, Student of Character, 4x Gold President’s Volunteer Service Awardee, Violist for the Gail W. Snitzer Advanced Study String Quartet at Settlement Music School, and NJ Governor’s School in the Sciences Scholar, among others. Alena will be attending Princeton University in the Fall for Public and International Affairs.
