Tim Ackerman

Tim has been involved in Football (Captain), SGA (Freshman Class President and 2020-21 School VP), and Blood Drive (Chairperson). He has been awarded Student of Character (2018) and the People’s Choice Award (2021). Tim will be attending the University of Alabama in the Fall.

Olujoba Akeh

Joba has been involved in Winter & Spring Track and Field (Captain), AACC (2019-20 Officer), DECA, & English NHS. In the community, he is an Impact Live Church Usher. He has been awarded Collegeboard National African-American Recognition (‘21), CH East Breakout Track & Field Athlete Award (‘21), Living Legend Record Holder for 400 Intermediate Hurdles (‘21), DECA 1st Place Overall Restaurant & Food Service Management State Qualifier (‘21), DECA 2nd Place Overall Quick Serve Restaurant Management State Qualifier (‘20). Joba will attend Ohio State University for Accounting in the Fall.

Deniz Alpdogan

Deniz has been involved in Robotics, Interact, Swim Team, Lab Band, Hospital Support Club, PAVAS, Cum Laude Society (‘19-‘22 VP), German Honors Society, English NHS, Science NHS and Social Studies NHS. In the Community, he has been a head tutor for Quarantine Tutors. He has been awarded a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program (‘21), Gold Award in the National German Exam & Finalist for the German Study Trip Award (‘20), All SJ & State Jazz Band (‘19) & Candidate for DE Valley Science Program (‘20). Deniz will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology for Aerospace Engineering in the Fall.

Daniel Arougheti

Daniel has been involved in Cross Country, Winter Track, Baseball, Lab Band, SGA, DECA, Career Club (Board Member), East Countrymen, and Cum Laude Society (Treasurer). Daniel came in 3rd place in the 2022 Mr. East Competition. Daniel plans to attend Syracuse University for Business in the Fall.

Alexa Atlas

Alexa has been involved in Eastside (Online Editor-in-Chief), Varsity Cheerleading (‘20-‘22 Captain), DECA (Regionals & States), Athletes Against Bullying, Women in Business, Environmental Club, Science NHS, English NHS, Spanish NHS & Cum Laude Society. In the Community, she has volunteered as a cheerleading coach for Magic Allstars. Some of the highlights of her many awards have been GSSPA 1st for Sports Writing & Features-Multimedia Package (‘20-‘21), 1st for Features-Multimedia Package, Best of Student News Organization, and other great honors & awards. Alexa will attend the University of Maryland to double major in Business & Journalism and continue Cheerleading in the Fall.

Michelle Barry

Michelle has been involved in Cross Country (Captain), Winter Track (Captain), Spring Track and DECA. In the Community, she has volunteered for her church. She has been awarded the Cross Country Cougar Award (‘20), Cross Country Most Improved (‘20), Spring Track Perfect Attendance (‘21) and Spring Track MVP (‘21). Michelle will attend the University of Maryland to major in Business in the Fall.

Nidhi Busannagari

Nidhi has been involved in Indian Cultural Society (‘20-‘22 President), Women in Science (‘20-‘22 Publicist), Food for Thought (‘19-‘22 Leader), Biology Club (President), Cum Laude Society (Tutoring VP), Bridge Tutoring, DECA, English NHS, World Language NHS and Science NHS. She has been awarded National Merit Commended Scholar (‘20), National AP Scholar with Honors (‘20) and Valedictorian. Nidhi will attend Rutgers University to major in Neuroscience in the Fall.

Dylan Butler

Dylan has been involved in Stage Crew, Thespian Society (Stage Crew Chair), Latin Honors Society (Tribune), PAVAS, and Habitat for Humanity. He has been awarded Technician of the Year (‘19 and ‘20) and Magna Cum Laude (‘19). Dylan will attend Drexel University for Engineering in the Fall.

Jonathan Caldes

Jonathan has been involved in German Club (President ‘21-‘22; VP ‘20-‘21), CHE ESports (Moderator), Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Standards, Chemistry Club, Pit Orchestra, East Musicians on Call, German Honors Society, and CHE Sprachfest Culture Bowl Team Leader. In the community, he has been the Bassist for Dancing with the Cherry Hill Stars. He has been awarded the AP Scholar Award (‘21), Sprachfest Culture Bowl 2nd Place (‘21) and Mr. East 2022. Jonathan will attend The Hamilton Lugar School of Global & International Studies at Indiana University in the Fall.

Julia Coen

Julia has been involved in SGA (Class VP for all 4 years), Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Filipino Culture Society, DECA, Art Club, Powder Puff, and Spanish NHS. In the community, she has been in Kateri Maidens, Hope Church Youth Mission Trip & Wexford Leas Lifeguard. She has been awarded Sophomore Class Homecoming Rep, Senior Homecoming Queen and People’s Choice Award. Julia will attend Penn State University for Liberal Arts in the Fall.

Hailee Connors

Hailee has been involved in Thespian Society (Secretary), Mime (Company Manager), Belles (Officer), Actors Creating Theater (VP), Blood Drive (Chairperson), Theater, Future Doctors of America, Latin Certamen, DECA, PAVAS, Science NHS, Social Studies NHS and Latin Honors Society (Secretary). In the community, she has been a Cherry Hill Rec Department volunteer. She has been awarded Best One-Act (‘19). Hailee will attend the University of South Carolina for Public Health in the Fall.

Ziva Davis

Ziva has been involved in Eastside (Culture Editor ‘21-‘22; News Editor ‘20-‘21), JSU, FOP, Theater, Choir and English NHS. In the community, she has been in BBYO and BookSmiles. She has been awarded the Best of SNO Journalism Award, Best of SNO and Student of Character (‘19). Ziva will attend Rutgers University (New Brunswick) for Psychology in the Fall.

Ethan Farber

Ethan has been involved in Blood Drive (Chairperson), Model UN (Officer), Spanish NHS (President), Winter & Spring Track & Field (Throwing Team Captain), SGA, DECA, Social Studies NHS & Cum Laude Society. In the community, he has volunteered for Summer Blood Drives and JFCS Food Delivery & Packing. He has been awarded National Merit Scholarship Letter of Commendation (‘21), AP Scholar Award (‘21), Model UN Delegate Awards, and DECA awards (States ‘20 - 2nd in the region, States & Nationals ‘21 - 1st in the region, 5th in the state). Ethan will attend The University of Pennsylvania for Health & Societies (Pre-Med) in the Fall.

Alisha Fazal

Alisha has been involved in Future Doctors of America (Officer), Theater, Belles of East, Mime Company, Actors Creating Theater (ACT), Thespian Society, PAVAS & Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has been in the Fellowship Community Church Youth Group. Alisha will attend Drexel University for Biological Sciences in the Fall.

Keira Federline

Keira has been involved in Cross Country (Captain), Swimming, Spring Track, DECA, Spirit Week, English NHS, Science NHS & Latin NHS. In the community, she has volunteered for Confirmation Class Assistant, Vacation Bible School, Swim Instructor & MLK Day of Service. Keira will attend James Madison University for Kinesiology in the Fall.

Robby Fleisher

Robby has been involved in Soccer (Captain), Spring Track (Throws Captain), Winter Track (Throws Captain), Mr East, and Athletes Against Bullying. In the community, he has volunteered for the CHEA (Cherry Hill Education Foundation). He has been awarded NJ Boys Soccer Olympic Conference 10/15/21-10/21/21 Player of the Week, 2-time Olympic Conference 2nd Team in the Javelin, East Freshman Record in the Javelin & 7th All Time in East for Javelin. Robby will attend Elon University for Sports Management in the Fall.

Brillian Fu

Brillian has been involved in Marching Band (Drum Major), Chinese Student Association (Kung Fu Director & Dance Choreographer), French NHS (Co-President), CHE Writing Club (Editor ‘21), English NHS, Social Studies NHS & Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has volunteered for CH Huaxia Chinese School, and was a Yearbook Group Leader/Editor-in-Chief, & Summer Camp Counselor. She has been awarded National Merit Commended Scholar (‘21), AP Scholar with Honor (‘21), and Chinese Language Ambassador of Asian American Alliance in SJ (‘19). Brillian will attend The College of William & Mary for Anthropology (Pre-Law) in the Fall.

Max Gaffin

Max has been involved in Eastside (Editor-in-Chief ‘22, Features Editor ‘21, News Editor ‘20), SGA (Sophomore Year Class VP and Junior Year School VP), FOP (Chairperson), DECA, Jewish Student Union, Mock Trial, Social Studies NHS and PLC Student Voice Advocate. In the community, he has been SJ BBYO Regional President, Regional VP & Chapter President, as well as an Executive Board Member for Tools for School. He has been awarded the Eastside Editorial Board Unsung Hero Award (‘21), DECA States 1st Place (‘21), DECA Regionals 3rd Place (‘21), ICDC Qualifier (‘21) and multiple journalistic awards through Best of SNO, Quill & Scroll, the GSSPA & the NSPA. Max will attend George Washington University for Political Media Communication & Business in the Fall.

Anushka Gandhi

Anushka has been involved in Cross Country (Captain), Winter Track (Captain), Spring Track (Captain), Teacher’s Assistant for AP Calculus BC, Indian Culture Society, Science Olympiad, Women in Science, Women in Sports, Girls Who Code, Chansons, East Singers, German NHS, English NHS, Science NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has volunteered for ReDefine, Camp Invention and PACT. She has been awarded AP Scholar with Distinction (‘21) and National Merit Commended Scholar (‘21). Anushka will attend the University of Pennsylvania for Biology in the Fall.

Remi Graff

Remi has been involved in Cum Laude Society (President), Girls Who Code (VP), Women in Science (President), Science NHS (President), Field Hockey, Project SUCCESS, Chemistry Club, Spirit Week Dance & Booth, FOP, Freshman Wind Ensemble, English NHS, Social Studies NHS, Spanish NHS and PAVAS. In the community, she has been an Executive Board Member for Tools for School. Remi will attend the University of Richmond for Chemistry in the Fall.

James Kwak

James has been involved in Robotics, Eastside, Boys Swimming, Model UN, Bridge Tutoring, Korean Culture Club, English NHS, Spanish NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he has volunteered for God’s Interfaith Food Table at Holy Communion Lutheran Church and First Korean Methodist Church. He has been awarded Valedictorian. James will attend Rutgers University (New Brunswick) for Cellular Biology/Neuroscience (Pre-Med) in the Fall.

Lily Lazarus

Lily has been involved in Soccer (Varsity Captain), Blood Drive (Overall Chairperson), Eastside (Editor), Lacrosse, SGA, DECA, Women in Business, Women in Sports, International Quill & Scroll Honor Society, English NHS, Spanish NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has volunteered for Tools for School and the American Red Cross. She has been awarded DECA Regionals 3rd Place (‘19), DECA States Qualifier (‘19), GSSPA 2018 1st Place, and GSSPA 2nd Place (‘19-‘20). Devyn Levin

In the community, she has volunteered for Voorhees Pediatric Facility, 3 Dimensional Physical Therapy, Tools for School, JFCS Food Delivery and Power of Blue. She has been awarded 1st Place in HOSA “Job Seeking Skills” in the district & state competitions (‘21), HOSA National competition Finalist (‘21) and Most Improved Field Hockey Player (‘18, ‘19). Jillian will attend Tulane University for Psychology/Business in the Fall.

Brendan has been involved in Soccer (Captain Senior Year) all four years, DECA, and Track & Field Freshman year. He has been awarded the JV Offensive MVP (Sophomore & Junior year). Brendan will attend Rutgers University (New Brunswick) for Finance in the Fall.

Maddy has been involved in Blood Drive (Chairperson), Cross Country (Captain), SGA, Spring Track, Winter Track, Swimming, DECA, Spanish NHS, Science NHS & Social Studies NHS. She has been awarded 1st Team All-Conference for Cross Country (‘18, ‘19, ‘20, ‘21), Cross Country Rookie of the Year (‘18), Positive Coaching Alliance (‘19), School Record for the 4x800 meter relay (‘21), Cougar Award for Track (‘21), DECA States (‘20), Student of Character, People’s Choice Awards (‘21), Camden County’s Best in Class “Most Courageous” Award (‘22), and more. Maddy will attend Virginia Tech University for Business/Undecided in the Fall.

Amanda Merovitz

Amanda has been involved in Varsity Cheerleading (Captain), Eastside (Editorial Board), East Cheerleading Competition Team (Co-Founder), DECA, Athletes Against Bullying, Jewish Student Union, Miracle League, Lacrosse and Spanish NHS. In the community, she has volunteered for BeFit Chiro. She has been awarded Cheerleading Team Leader of the Year (‘20 and ‘21), DECA Nationals Qualifier (‘21), Journalism Caption Competition Award at Convention (‘19), and GSSPA Breaking Sports Story Award (‘19). Dillon Page

Dillon has been involved in Winter Track (Captain), Spring Track (Captain), African American Culture Club (Sophomore Year Officer), Athletes Against Bullying, and Spanish NHS. In the community, he has volunteered for Jack & Jill of American Inc, Salvation Army Food Bank, and Social Justice Advocacy on Capitol Hill. He has been awarded the CH East Track Bob Hulme Award (‘19 and ‘21), CH East Winter Track Male Athlete of the Year-Field (‘20 and ‘21), Varsity Winter Track Award (‘19, ‘20 and ‘21), Varsity Spring Track Award (‘19, ‘20 and ‘21), and Olympic Conference All-Conference Award (‘21). He became the first boy in East history to win the NJSIAA Track & Field Meet of Champions (‘21), which also made him the Number 1 high jumper in NJ for the ‘21 outdoor Track & Field season. Dillon will attend Rutgers University (New Brunswick) where he will be continuing Track & Field in the Fall.

In the community, he has volunteered for the Korean School of SNJ, Camden Homeless Ministry, and Edelweiss Ensemble. Caroline Perry

Caroline has been involved in Basketball (Captain), Soccer, Women in Sports (Fundraising Officer), Lacrosse, Spirit Week Dance Competition, and Athletes Against Bullying. In the community, she has volunteered for Girl Scouts. Caroline will attend Albright College for Biology (Pre-Med) and Soccer in the Fall.

Scout Pullano

Scout has been involved in Field Hockey (Captain), SGA (Junior Class President & Sophomore Class VP), Eastside, DECA, Lacrosse, Future Doctors of America and FOP. She has been awarded Field Hockey MVP (‘18 and ‘19), Field Hockey Most Improved (‘20), Cougar Award (‘20), and People’s Choice Award (‘21). Scout will attend Penn State University for Political Science in the Fall.

Marisa Rappaport

Marisa has been involved in Girls Basketball (Captain), Field Hockey (Captain), Women in Sports, Powder Puff, Jewish Student Union, Spirit Week Dance Competition, DECA, FOP and Key Club. In the community, she has volunteered for the Cherry Hill Education Foundation as the CHE Student Representative, BBYO as Treasurer, and Beth El Hebrew School as Teaching Assistant. Marisa will attend the University of Delaware for Elementary Education in the Fall.


Ariana Santiago Ramos

Ariana has been involved in Latinos & Amigos (President), French NHS (Secretary), Board of Education Student Rep, World Affairs Council, Indian Cultural Society, Knitting Club, Cultural Proficiency & Equity Committee, and Social Studies NHS. She has volunteered for Doctors for Camp Closure and One Kind Act a Month. She has been awarded National Hispanic Recognition Program (‘21), CT Colt Award for Excellence (‘19) and AP Scholar Award (‘21). Ariana will attend Temple University for Global Studies with a concentration in Economics in the Fall.

Yena Son

Yena has been involved in Eastside (Photo Editor), Korean Culture Club (Senior Year President & Junior Year Co-Choreographer), Voce (Officer), and French NHS (Publicist). In the community, she has volunteered for the FKUMC Youth Group Praise Team (Leader), Vacation Bible School, Awana and Voorhees Pediatric Facility. Yena will attend Northwestern University for Neuroscience (Pre-Med) in the Fall.

Kaitlyn Thompson

Kaitlyn has been involved in Marching Band (Color Guard Field Captain), Future Doctors of America (Officer), Actors Creating Theatre (Secretary), Food for Thought, Costume Crew, Science NHS and Latin NHS . She has been awarded Tournament of Bands Region One South Jersey Scholarship (‘21) and Magna Cum Laude National Latin Exam (‘19, ‘20). Kaitlyn will attend Widener University for Nursing in the Fall.

Elliana Tonghini

Elliana has been involved in Tennis (Captain), Winter Track (Captain), Spring Track (Captain), VOCE (Officer), Multicultural Day (President), DECA, HOSA, Women in Sports, Future Doctors of America, Key Club, Blood Drive and Spanish NHS. In the community, she has volunteered for CHOP Book Donations. She has been awarded Winter Track Breakout Athlete of the Year. Elliana will attend the University of Central Florida for Criminal Justice/Psychology in the Fall.

She has been awarded GSSPA Award in Multimedia Package (‘21), Best of School Newspapers Online (SNO) for Eastside Online multimedia packages (‘21), National Scholastic Press Association Honor Roll and Valedictorian. Nicole will attend TCNJ for Biology in the Fall.

Shira Weiss

Shira has been involved in Interact (President ‘21-‘22/Secretary ‘20-‘21), Costume Crew (Student Leader), Biology Club, Cum Laude Society, English NHS, Science NHS and PAVAS. In the community, she has volunteered for Marlton Sports Unity Program Buddy Soccer and knitted 106 Baby Hats for Virtua Voorhees. She has been awarded Best Use of Required Elements and Excellence in Filmmaking in the Moose 120hr Film Festival (‘19) 2nd Place Essay in the CHAACA Black History Month Essay Poster Video Contest (‘21) and National Merit Commended Student (‘21). Shira will attend TCNJ for Biology in the Fall.

Hope Xu

Hope has been involved in Science Olympiad (VP), Symphony Orchestra (Concertmaster), CH East Writing Club (VP/Children’s Book Manager), French NHS (Co-President), Chamber Orchestra (Concertmaster), Pit Orchestra (Associate Concertmaster ‘20), Girls Tennis, Women in Science, Science NHS, English NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, she has volunteered as a Chinese School Supervisor, Editor-in-Chief & Tutor, Dental Assistant Intern/Volunteer, and Dancing with the CH Stars Concertmaster. She has been awarded Science Olympiad 6th Place States (‘21), National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist (‘20), Coriell Institute Science Fair 2nd Place (‘19), Science Olympiad Transcontinental Invitational 4th Place (‘20), Semifinalist at SJ Interscholastic Championships B Doubles (‘21) and Valedictorian. Hope will attend Brown University for Biology (Pre-Med) in the Fall.

Kelvin Yuan

Kelvin has been involved in East Volleyball Team (Captain), Robotics (Team Captain ‘18-‘20), Eastside Newspaper (‘19-‘20 Photographer), Symphony Orchestra, Pit Orchestra (‘18-‘19), English NHS, Science NHS, Social Studies NHS and Cum Laude Society. In the community, he has volunteered for Cherry Hill Huaxia Chinese School. He has been awarded Volleyball All-Conference Award (‘21 and ‘22), Presidential Volunteer Service Award (‘21), and VEX Robotics World Championship Qualifier (‘21). Kelvin will attend Cornell University for Mechanical Engineering in the Fall.

Sapjah Zapotitla

Sapjah has been involved in Girls Wrestling (Captain ‘18-‘20), Latinos & Amigos (Social Media Manager ‘20-‘21), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Teacher), Key Club, Color Guard, Rock Climbing Club, Breakdance Club, Demo Literary & Art Magazine, Culinary Club, Photography Club, Habitat for Humanity, Little Mentors, Knitting Club and Video Game Club. In the community, she has volunteered for CrossFit Coaching, YAC (Media manager) and FYR (Assistant / Motivator). She has been awarded Peoples Choice Award (‘19 and ‘22), Student of Character (‘22), Girls Wrestling MVP (‘19), and 2nd place tournament (‘and ’20). Sapjah will attend Rowan University for Psychology/Sociology in the Fall.

Darren Zhou

Darren has been involved in Chinese Student Association (VP ‘21-‘22, Event Coordinator ‘20-‘21), SGA, Key Club (Secretary), Lemon Club (Co-President ‘21-‘22, VP ‘20-‘21), Spanish NHS (Secretary), DECA, Mr. East Contestant, Orchestra, Rosa Bridge Tutoring, eSports, Science Olympiad, Interact, Cross Country, English NHS, Science NHS, and Cum Laude Society. He has been awarded All SJ Regional Orchestra (‘19), DECA States 1st Place and 2nd Place Awards (‘21), QuestBridge College Prep Scholar (‘21), QuestBridge National College Match Finalist (‘21), AP Scholar (‘21), Homecoming King (‘21) and Valedictorian. Darren will attend the University of Southern California (Honors College) for Biology (Pre-Med) in the Fall.
