Do I have to make the optional deposits in order to go on the Class of 2028 Senior Trip?
No, you can start paying for the Senior Trip in May of 2027 or September of 2027. These optional deposits are just to help you spread out the costs, so that you aren't paying 3 large amounts within the span of 7 months.
Is PaySchools the ONLY way to make payments?
YES, for the four (4) OPTIONAL $300.00 payments (Spring of freshman year, Fall of sophomore year, Spring of sophomore year and Fall of junior year), we are ONLY able to accept PaySchools payments.
BUT, for the 3 OFFICIAL payments (Spring of junior year, September of senior year and November of senior year), you are able to pay via cash, check, money order OR PaySchools.
Can I just pay it all at once when it's due at the end (November of senior year)?
No. Students start picking roommates in early October of senior year, and we have to give the travel agent a deposit with our final number around that time as well. So, if you wait until November of senior year, you will be put on a waiting list.
Also, you won't be able to purchase trip insurance if you pay it all at once. You can't purchase trip insurance until you've made one payment, BUT BEFORE you've made your final payment.
Can I purchase Trip Insurance now?
No. You can drop out of the trip up until the end of September 2027, and still receive a FULL refund from CH East. So, you wouldn't need insurance until October 2027 or later. We will have an optional trip meeting in September of 2027 where we will explain that all to you in detail.
What is the total cost of the trip?
We won't have a total amount until the spring of 2027 (when we select trip dates and work out details with the travel agency after the Class of 2027 Senior Trip).
Who do I talk to if I have more questions?
You can email dbarr@chclc.org or hsassinsky@chclc.org - Debbie Barr is the Secretary of Activities and Holly Sassinsky is the Coordinator of Student Activities. So, Debbie keeps track of all of the payments and other details, and Holly is in charge of the trip.

Dear Class of 2028 Parents/Guardians,
We are now accepting PaySchools payments for the Class of 2028 Senior Class Trip to Disney World and Universal Studios, which is tentatively scheduled for March 2028. Our current Seniors just returned from an amazing 5 days in Florida for their class trip and we want all our students to have this opportunity.
Why would we collect this early for a trip over three years away? Well for starters, the trip is getting expensive. With prices going up on airfare, tickets, food, etc. every year, we want to give families every opportunity to space out payments and not be burdened by paying a lot at once.
OPTIONAL Deposits of $300 can only be made through the Payschools payment system https://payschoolscentral.com/ listed as East - Senior Trip 2028 Optional Deposit #1. With payments being ONLINE ONLY, you will be able to make this payment from today (3/20/25) through the end of this school year.
Make sure to pay via ACH Direct Deposit, which only has a $1.95 convenience fee. Paying with a credit OR debit card has a 4% convenience fee that we cannot reimburse.
We will not be accepting cash/checks for the 4 OPTIONAL payments (1 in 9th grade, 2 in 10th grade and 1 in 11th grade)
We will accept PaySchools OR cash/check for the OFFICIAL deposits (1 in May of 2027, 1 in September of 2027 and 1 in November of 2027)
All deposits will be kept on file and are fully refundable until September 2027.
The Senior Class Trip consists of 5 days and 4 nights at Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The cost includes admission to all theme parks, hotel, food vouchers, travel and transportation. We try our best to make this as all-inclusive as possible. However, the total cost of the trip will not be finalized until Spring 2027.
We will continue to hold collection dates throughout their high school career – once each Fall and Spring. Following the optional deposit schedule, the amount remaining when we get to mandatory deposits in the Spring of 2027 should be minimal.
We sincerely hope that many of the students will choose to attend the Senior Trip. It will be an experience of a lifetime and one of the best memories of their high school career!
Thank you,
Holly Sassinsky
Coordinator of Student Activities
