In a MTSS framework, resources are allocated in accordance with students' needs. This framework is a multi-tiered model and involves more and more intense interventions across the tiers. The level of intensity of interventions a student receives is determined by how they respond to the intervention. Like the model shown below, CES 95’s MTSS model has three tiers. The MTSS model supports instructional practices within positive school environments, which support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all students. When challenges arise, students are provided with a range of supports to address the needs. If students do not respond, the intensity of the support increases.
