A timeline showcasing key activities in the CAAASA - CCEE partnership
2017-19
Our initial partnership brought together four districts and three county offices to identify the inequities experienced by African American students in California K–12 schools and develop systemwide strategies addressing them through a systems-change approach.
2019-20
The work then shifted to supporting LEAs by embedding the strategies within their school and district contexts.
Statewide webinars highlighting student and community voices were held during school closures.
2021-22
Lifting Our Voices Field Guides were released to provide a blueprint for school and district teams to more effectively invite and include student and family voices in strategic planning.
2023-now
We launch the African American Student Success Learning Network, with a focus on measuring the outcomes of strategies implemented to support Black student achievement.
