Beginning Technology is an introduction level course for 6th graders. The class focuses on developing problem solving skills through the application of the Engineering Design Process. This is not a take home project class. The class duration is 1 semester. 

This class is based on standards and objective originally found in the USBE Exploring Technology core and adapted to 6th grade students.

The following subjects/units will be covered in the class:

Classroom Procedures, Measurement, Safety, Using Technology Effectively, Impact of Technology on Society/the World, The Engineering Design Process, Problem Solving

Digital & Hands-on activities will be involved in most of the units.
