For a student's work to be eligible for credit, the assignment will have to be turned in correctly. Following are the requirements an assignment must meet to be considered for credit:
* Most written assignments will be given through Canvas. Students will use their Chromebooks daily.
* The teacher will always ask for an assignment.
* That request will usually be to turn it in through Canvas.
* Students will never be expected to just remember on their own to turn an assignment in, unless the assignment is make-up work or late work.
* Work turned in at the instructed time will be considered "on time". Work turned in after the instructed time will be considered late.
* Late assignments will not lose points, but may affect a Citizenship grade in the Work Place Skills part of the grade.
* Citizenship grades may be lowered each time assignments are turned in late.
* Some assignments like projects with steps or stages of completion need to be shown to the teacher for a grade.
* Students who do not respond to the "show it to me" request, will have their projects graded as late.
* All work must have a first and last name on it. The assignment header must be completely filled out (ie. normal, make-up, late, date, period).
* Students should complete assignments carefully. Obviously, incorrect answers will not receive full credit.
* Grades should be checked daily in PowerSchool so any recording errors can be repaired early.
* Assignments and assessments can be made up and redone up to 2 weeks after the due date. See the School Grading Procedures
