Invite Students to Speak in the Auditorium

Any non-admin members in a live room cannot unmute themselves to speak in the live room unless approved by the admin.

Students will "raise" a virtual hand to request to speak and will wait in a queue that is monitored by the admin. As the instructor, you are responsible for monitoring the queue.

Step by step instructions to invite students to speak in the #auditorium:

1.When a student requests to speak in the #auditorium, you will see their name pop up in the queue on the left hand side

2. Click on the “+” button next to the student you want to approve to speak in the room

3. The student will now be added to the speaking now section and will have the ability to speak and present to the class.

4. As an admin, you can hover over the student’s name in the “Speaking now” section to do the following:

• End their turn as a speaker

• Turn their mic off

• Turn their camera off

    *Note: You do not have the ability to turn their camera/mic on if they are turned off
