English Literature

GCSE English Literature is an optional subject. It is untiered and is assessed across Years 11 and 12. The examining board is CCEA.

The qualification is comprised of the following:

Year 11:   Unit 1 (30%)

Year 12: Unit 2 (50%) and Unit 3 (20%)

Units 1 and 2 are externally assessed; Unit 3 is teacher assessed. The summer '23 pass rate for GSCE English Literature was 100%.
