Parent/Guardian Engagement and Support

Throughout this coronavirus pandemic episode, and through our COVID-19 response and our Learning at Home program, BSD will continue to connect, communicate and engage with our community. As we partner to support our students, their well-being and their continuing learning, we want to hear from you in support of providing a positive experience during a most challenging time.

Options for Parent/Community Input

To streamline the intake of community input, BSD is providing several options below. Using these options instead of sending email will better support our ability to respond to submitted content.

Thought Exchange

BSD has used this platform previously for other district processes, most recently to gather input in support of our Superintendent Search.

We will be opening new ThoughtExchanges specifically to collect priorities from our community regarding our coronavirus (COVID-19) response and Learning at Home program. These ThoughtExchanges will be open from April 20th-May 1.

Links will be provided here and also messaged out when available.

Town Hall Meetings

In May, BSD will hold a series of live, virtual Town Hall Meetings as yet another forum for engaging with our community. Town Hall Meetings will be conducted via Zoom, and will be hosted by BSD district leaders, a site principal and a BSD Board of Trustees Member. The input collected from the above ThoughtExchange will be addressed through these Town Hall Meetings.

Dates will be posted here and messaged out when finalized.

Learning at Home Parent Input Form

Another option for parents to provide input is via our BSD Learning at Home Parent Input Form.

Using this structured form for collecting input will help us more effectively respond to community input.
