Special Education and Home Learning

Special Education Services

Case Managers will communicate directly with families and will ensure that home learning activities are aligned with students’ IEP goals, and provide accommodations and modified programming. Learning modalities offered to students may include physical packets, on-line educational programs, tele-conferencing, tele-consult action, and/or tele-therapy. Related services may also be provided depending on a child’s individualized education plan. These may include; Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, and/or Behavior support. Related service providers will reach out to families personally.

Parents of students who are currently being served in Special Education through BSD were sent letters in the mail on 3/24/2020 and 3/25/2020, along with a copy of parent rights and procedural safeguards (click here for English, here for Spanish). Parents, please be on the lookout for information in the mail.
