Please ensure that your child brings a water bottle and hat to school each day. This year, Year 3 have their PHE days on Tuesday and Thursday.
We would appreciate your support if you are able to ensure they wear PHE kits on these days. Each class has a library visit once per week. Please support your child be helping ensure they bring their library books to school on the day they visit the library. Library days for each class can be seen on class timetables below.
As the development of good reading habits is key during their time in Year 3, each child will be provided with a Home Reading Journal to take home with them each day. Adults will check these journals each week to monitor child's reading habits. We would be grateful if you are able to support from home by talking to your child once a week about the books they are reading. Of course, checking in more often and reading with your child is also very welcome.
Our home-school partnership is very important, and we encourage you to communicate throughout the year with your child's class teacher.
From all of us in Year 3, we are very excited to work with your children and support them during their journey throughout the year.
For additional information about the curriculum for the start of the year, please see the overview below.
Please find our Year 3 class timetables below.
There are plenty of ways to support learning at home. Here are links to key apps and websites for Reading and Maths practice. Your child will have logins for these provided by school.
