The Early Learning Goals
The level of progress children are expected to have attained by the end of their KG2 year is defined by the early learning goals, or ELGs.
Kukangs
Our Kindergarten is a welcoming and well-equipped space where 2-year-olds enjoy a balanced and enriching experience every day. We combine structured activities with lots of opportunities for creative play, making learning fun and engaging for our little Kukangs.
Each day includes two short, adult-led sessions, each about 10-15 minutes long, focusing on different areas of early learning, like language, math, or physical development. Alongside these sessions, children participate in small group activities guided by teachers and explore various play areas both inside and outside the classroom. These play areas are carefully designed to help children build essential skills across all aspects of their growth.
To keep the learning environment dynamic and exciting, we introduce new activities and resources each week that align with our learning goals. Teachers carefully observe each child’s progress, supporting them in taking the next steps in their wellbeing and learning journey. We also offer specialist lessons in Music, led by an expert who makes this experience both educational and enjoyable. By integrating learning objectives into play and specialised activities, we ensure that children develop naturally and happily in a developmentally appropriate way.

Our well-equipped Kindergarten environment offers a balanced and enriching educational experience, ensuring that learners engage in both structured, adult-led activities and creative exploration throughout the day and week.
For our KG1 and KG2 students, each day, there are typically three whole-class adult-led sessions, approximately 20 minutes in length, focusing on one of the seven areas of learning outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. In addition to these sessions, children learn through small group activities led by staff and continuous provision areas both inside and outside the classroom. These areas are thoughtfully designed and resourced to support skill development across all areas of learning.
Enhancements are added weekly to continuous provision to align with curriculum objectives, keeping the learning environment dynamic and engaging. Adults actively support children in their play, carefully observing each child's level of attainment and identifying their next steps. By integrating learning objectives into play, educators guide and assist children in achieving their developmental goals in a natural and enjoyable way enabling them to reach their full potential.
