Our approach to learning places each student at the centre We believe learning should be active, engaging, and fun. Our methods are collaborative, encouraging students to work together and ask questions. As we further develop our inquiry-based learning, we help students to explore their interests deeply and develop critical thinking skills.
We aim to grow both knowledge and emotional skills. Our curriculum connects to local and global topics, making learning relevant and exciting. We foster a supportive environment where students feel safe and valued, which is essential for their emotional well being. Our goal is to develop well-rounded individuals, preparing them for the future with strong intellectual and emotional skills.
We draw upon metacognition approaches to help students plan, monitor and evaluate specific aspects of their learning. Thinking Moves A – Z is a structured approach to thinking about thinking: a framework for metacognition. Thinking Moves are integrated across our curriculums.
Improving the management of thinking can have a huge impact on the learning of young people and on the management of their lives and well being in general.
