Within the Primary School, children are assessed with a combination of high quality, teacher-led, continuous assessment and external standardised assessments. Standardised tests are administered twice a year, in November and May, to provide valuable insights into student attainment and progress against a large international sample. In addition to these assessments, we continually evaluate pupils against the outcomes related to the National Curriculum for England in Mathematics, Reading, and Writing. We employ a mix of summative assessment tasks and ongoing formative assessment by class teachers to ensure that each pupil experiences a learning environment that is tailored to their unique needs. This approach enables us to guide and support pupils every step of the way on their learning journey, ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
