Apples After School
Ana and Abigail
Ana and Abigail
Ana just picked up her daughter Abigail from school and decided to visit the farmers market to pick up some produce to make dinner in the evening.
I'm part of the WIC and they always give us $40 to spend here. It's really good, I love it. I don't think I would always use this if I didn't have the WIC, it's kind of pricey compared to the grocery stores.
I’ve been coming for the last five years. I was referred to this by a representative from WIC. They give us a PIN number and they tell us that we have that extra 40 dollars to spend within three months. And we have until October 31st to use it.
I got apples, lettuce, carrots, I normally come for the vegetables because they’re fresh. And they taste better. I normally go to supermarkets, especially Aldi's, the ones that have cheaper prices. This is more of a supplement. It's a good experience overall. It’s also helpful to support the locals.
