Bridgemary Pride

In 2016 the school became a Stonewall School and shortly after this we set up Bridgemary Pride. The pride group meet weekly to offer support to LGBTQ students and staff. The group is not exclusively for LGBTQ students but also those who are interested in diversity, equality and inclusion for all.

We also have a number of staff who are Pride Allies, these are easily identified by the rainbow flag and school logo which is displayed on classroom doors, this identifies ‘safe spaces’ for LGBTQ students in which they will find a member of staff who is able to offer support.

Many of the staff who are part of the ally scheme are members of the LGBTQ community, have parents or other family members who are LGBTQ or want to be part of the gay straight alliance.

At Bridgemary School we pride ourselves in being inclusive and supporting equality for all our students and staff.
