Assessment Reporting
The school reports the assessment of student performance and progress to parents/carers six times a year in writing following formally moderated examinations/tests. Also, there are 'Parent Subject Consultation' evenings for each year group when there are further opportunities for parents/carers to discuss their child's progress with teaching staff.
To aid parents in understanding and clarity around the reporting system, we have produced a guidance booklet. (Click here to access the booklet)
Assessment Overview
The School reports the assessment of student performance and progress to parents/carers three times a year in writing following formally moderated examinations/tests. In addition, there are Parents’ Subject Consultation Evenings for each year group when there are further opportunities for parents/carers to discuss their child's progress with teaching staff.
Student Grades - your son/daughter’s progress is tracked and reported using fine grades. Fine grades enable us to show more clearly how secure the student’s grade is. Each grade apart from P,M,D,U & X is divided into 3 sub-grades e.g. 4+,4, 4-
For example:
4+ secure grade 4 but with intervention could boost to a grade 5
4 insecure grade 4, intervention necessary to secure or boost grade 4
4- very insecure grade 4, intervention necessary to secure grade 4
