Happy game day, Huskies!
As the sun rises on another perfect fall football Friday, we would like to share a picture, a story, and a message with you.
A few months ago, a family member of one of our football players left us after a battle with mental illness.
We spent last season with helmet stickers supporting the B#4 Foundation, and while there is never an easy way to get through times like these, grief often inspires people to do incredible things. Similar to what the Hessbrook family has done to remember Brady, the family in our program wanted to do something special in memory of their loved one.
To remember her uncle, Addie MacLaren decided to make tee shirts and sweatshirts, sitting with her family on the floor of her home for hours each night, in the hopes of spreading awareness of this awful illness.
The shirts, on the front, say “You are enough.” On the back, they read, “Dear person behind me, the world is a better place with you in it. -Love, the person in front of you”
The thoughtfulness and efforts of someone at that age struck a chord with us, and we decided as a program to get every coach and player a shirt.
These shirts were delivered to the school Thursday by Addie, along with her mother and sister. Each member of our program was able to shake the hands of the family, and thank them for their hard work.
Addie, you are an inspiration to all of us. Football is family, and we are united for this cause.
Talk to someone. Make the call. Ask for help. Check on a friend. Let’s all work together to fight to keep our loved ones with us.
Please share this message as often as you can, and don’t be afraid to talk about it.

🐔 Breckenridge FFA Chicken Project Begins! 🐔
Our FFA students have officially started their chicken projects, welcoming 130 healthy chicks this morning! They’re settled into their warm pens, happily eating and drinking. 🐥 Over the course of this project, students will track the growth of these chickens from their small state until they're ready to be butchered. This hands-on experience is a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn about agriculture and animal care. Stay tuned for updates! 🐾
Each week, it is such a joy to witness the incredible learning experiences happening at Breckenridge Community Schools. From mastering reading and writing to nurturing chickens, solving math problems, exploring the history of our nation, and embracing healthy lifestyles, our students and staff are truly in action.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff for their commitment to crafting engaging and hands-on lessons. It is through this educational process that students not only acquire the content needed for success but also develop the responsibility, resilience, and rigor essential for becoming successful citizens beyond school.
At BCS, we focus on nurturing each individual's potential and striving for personal excellence and success. Our mission is clear: To educate, support, and inspire each student to achieve personal excellence and success.
Let’s continue to celebrate the wonderful work happening in our classrooms!

🚨 Security Tip: Beware of Phishing Kit Scams 🚨
Cybercriminals can easily launch convincing phishing scams using pre-made "phishing kits." These kits come with ready-made emails, web pages, and graphics designed to mimic legitimate companies like PayPal, making scams appear more trustworthy.
🔒 Stay Safe:
Always visit the official website directly to check account issues—never trust unexpected emails.
Avoid clicking on links in emails you weren’t expecting, even if they look official.
Verify urgent messages by contacting the organization through another communication method.
Stay alert, Huskies! 🐾
