Our Girls Cross Country team took first place last Saturday in Webberville. Anthony Rowe took home first place on the boys team. Let's go Huskies!

Mr. Willbanks and Mr. Baldwin took a few members of our Student Leadership Team to a Meraki Performance Leadership Training with peers from all MSAC schools. It's an incredible opportunity to develop their leadership skills, collaborate with other student leaders, and gain new insights. Here’s to growing together and leading with purpose!
I loved capturing this picture with our Huskie Cheer with several younger helpers supporting both teams football players exiting the field.
Our first home JV football game and our first home JV adn Varsity Volleyball games ended with 3 wins! It was great weather for a great game outside and our volleyball teams dominated inside. We had great attendance and great sportsmanship by our students and community. Keep up the school spirit Huskies!

Academics/Programs
Breckenridge Community Schools will provide the time and resources to collaboratively and continually align PK-12 curriculum.
This time of year is focused on creating relationships, but also setting expectations for what teachers and staff expect. A big part of these expectations are setting routines and procedures for students to follow. It is so beneficial for our students to have structure and routine.
MS STEM - This elective class provides our students with great hands on activities that focus on problem solving and the engineer process.

Our BCS students will be taking NWEA over coming weeks. These tests are taken 3 times a year and help our teachers determine each student's academic growth over the course of the year. Our teachers will be sharing this information with parents later this fall.
Personnel/Leadership
Breckenridge Community Schools will support, recruit, and retain highly qualified personnel to collaborate and meet the needs of our students.
BCS is in search of 1-2 bus drivers to better serve our district. The district will provide training needed to acquire a CDL that is necessary to drive our buses. Check out our Transportation Department Contract for wages and further information about the positions.
Operations
Breckenridge Community Schools will strategically utilize resources to provide an optimal environment for
staff, students, and community.
We would like to thank our community for their support of our bond and building improvements. With our very warm, humid days this week, our added HVAC units in our buildings made our learning environment much more enjoyable. Thank you!
Our BCS food service team has seen an increase in participation to start this school year. We want to thank our food service team for their hard work in providing breakfast and lunches for our students. Thank you as we navigate the beginning of the year routines and the increased demand.
REMINDER! Breakfast and lunches are free to all BCS students.
Another reminder of our school schedule. It is important for your students to get to school on time and get their day started. Routines are so important, please try to make sure students are to school by the start times. This will ensure that students have a routine start to their day and avoids tardies and truancy issues.
