At Breckenridge Elementary, our students earn a PAWS certificate when they demonstrate positive behavior. All PAWS recipients are then entered into a special drawing. We’re excited to recognize the following students from our September/October drawing!

Our Huskies had a fantastic showing at the MHSAA state finals at Michigan International Speedway last weekend! Special shout-out to Ally Schmitz and Danica Aldrich for earning All-State honors, and to the entire team for an impressive 5th place finish overall!

Our Varsity Volleyball team has had an outstanding season and is ready to make their mark in the district finals! After winning their first district game, they’re set to face Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart this Friday night at 7 PM in Ashley.

Win or lose, these girls have already made a tremendous impact on our volleyball program, showing true Huskie spirit and determination. Let’s pack the stands and show our support!

Starting Oct. 22nd – Dec. 19th, we’re offering tutoring sessions every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:05 – 4:05 PM in the MS/HS Library (LMC) for all 6th-12th grade students!

Our dedicated tutors, Ms. Summer Nobis and Mr. Jack Poling, are here to support with: ✅ Missing assignments ✅ Work Completion ✅ Test prep & study skills ✅ Addressing skill gaps with IXL & NWEA data ✅ Monitoring grades in PowerSchool & communication with teachers/parents

This past Tuesday, while students had the day off for election day, many of our BCS staff members attended the GIRESD local professional development day in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Jim Harris delivered an insightful session on MTSS supports, guiding our staff on effective ways to address and meet the behavioral needs of students.

A big thank you to our dedicated staff for investing their time in continuous growth and learning! We’re excited to review and implement these valuable strategies within our own district.
