"We didn't realize we were making memories. We just knew we were having fun." ~Winnie the Pooh
Dear Breckenridge Community,
What an incredible Homecoming week it has been! As the Superintendent of Breckenridge Community Schools, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for the amazing support you’ve shown throughout this special time.
Homecoming is more than just an event—it’s a tradition, a time where lifelong memories are made. Whether it’s building floats, participating in pep assemblies, dressing up in spirit gear, enjoying the classic bean soup, cheering at the parade, witnessing the crowning of our Homecoming royalty, or attending our bonfire and alumni events, each moment brings us closer together as a community. The Macho Volleyball game and the big football game were highlights of the week, showcasing the school spirit and camaraderie that make Breckenridge so unique.
This week isn’t just about competition or celebration, but about the lasting memories and connections we create along the way. From the youngest students experiencing their first Homecoming to alumni reliving their high school days, it’s a time for everyone to come together for fun, tradition, and a shared sense of pride.
I want to thank everyone—students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members—who played a part in making this week such a success. Your enthusiasm and involvement truly highlight the strong, supportive spirit that makes Breckenridge such a special place.
Let’s continue building these traditions and making memories that will be cherished for years to come. Thank you for making this Homecoming week one to remember!
Sincerely,
Wade Slavik
