We Are Everywhere is a poem about reminding all gender diverse people of the power our joy, our lives, and our unique perspectives have even in the face of political scapegoating. We are people, just like anyone else, and we have a right to life happy, healthy lives as our whole selves, and this poem, I hope, serves as a reminder of that, when hateful people want you to forget that and make you small, with the first stanza meant to counter the transphobia occuring in the UK, where I live, right now. This poem was inspired by the song Statue in The Square by Kae Tempest, the work of The Gender Doula, and the book Hello Cruel World by Kate Bornstein, and I hope this poem helps you, too.
