With the many tiles and petals, this painting represents the joyous nuance and expansiveness of genderfluidity. Painted while the artist was housebound due to illness, it celebrated the private joy of gender expression. Even when unseen by others, euphoria can still be experienced. 

Sapling is a nonbinary, immigrant, disabled survivor (he/they/it) who paints the under-represented. Even in queer art spaces, many of our real identities are overlooked, and Sapling is working to change that. Its art is a blend of floral, spiritual, sensual, and illustrative.
