Nature was always a way for me to escape the negativity and just reconnect with the natural world around me and ground myself in what is real. The earth never cared what I identified as or what bathroom I used, it accepted me, warmed my skin, and allowed me to just exist without worry. I think exploring nature was my first experience of trans joy.
