How we can become better citizens through the implementation of physical changes to our community or society?
How can we use our knowledge of Geometry and Transformations to develop a plan of a street and a home?
1) Students need to know how to construct two-dimensional figures representing buildings, rooms etc to scale.
2) Students need to know that it can be lengthy to design the project and should always incorporate rough drafts before implementing online.
3) Students need to know how to draw shapes to scale on a coordinate plane.
identify and be able to use transformations for drawing
create parallel lines that are cut by a transversal
knowledge of parallel and perpendicular lines
how to use scale
MGSE8.G.2 Understand that a two-dimensional figure is congruent to another if the second can be obtained from the first by a sequence of rotations, reflections, and translations; given two congruent figures, describe a sequence that exhibits the congruence between them.
