How Are Laws Impacted By Social Change?
We know that laws govern a society and help keep people safe.
We know that using our voice to advocate for change is one way we can make a positive impact on the world.
We know how to look at a 3D structure to determine it's size in relation to the objects around it.
How a bill becomes a law?
How to write a persuasive letter and an opinion essay?
How to manipulate area and perimeter to create an ADA compliant playground?

Week of 3/15
The 4th grade students have debated and researched parts of HB36- Involving air quality assessments of public buildings -with Mrs. Singman. We also looked at the role of the Environmental Protection Agency which will guide how the assessment will be conducted if the bill is passed. Ms. Fisher and Ms. Williams will help the students dig deeper into HB37. This bill focuses on ensuring that every public school in this state has an operational wheelchair onsite. The 4th Grade students truly feel that having a wheelchair onsite is not enough. The students will create a model of what our playground could look like if we made it wheelchair accessible.
The Preamble Parodies- Highlights
