Presentation #1: PBIS Kick-Off (August 25th, 2022)
Presentation #1: PBIS Kick-Off (August 25th, 2022)
Original Presentation Topic/Description: This presentation discusses the PBIS initiatives planned for the 2022 school year. We discussed the overview of PBIS in relation to providing support to students through choices, intervention, and modification of lessons that include SEL elements. This presentation also addressed remote learning expectations for students participating In our school district's newly adopted hybrid learning (DASL) program. We also provided technological ways that educators could implement choices and incentives when it comes to providing interventions for positive student behavior. This relates to my final project work, which focuses on how UDL could be used in the classroom to meet the diverse needs of learning within the classroom. The incorporation of technology lessons and tools to enhance the learning experience is a future plan for PBIS support and implementation.
Audience: The audience for this live presentation was a mix of educators from Bedford High School and Heskett Middle School, both schools within the Bedford City School District.
Date/Location: August 25th, Carylwood Primary School, Bedford, Ohio
Presentation #2: Technology Shared Tutorials (See Dates Below)
Created and Distributed: 10/4/2022
Created and Distributed: 1/14/2023-1/16/2023
Original Presentation Topic/Description: In dedication to earning my service hours from my Computer Technology Endorsement, I worked with the Supervisor of Instructional Technology to create video tutorials and presentations that were pushed out to the BHS (Bedford High School) staff members. These videos ranged from tutorials on digital platforms, resources, and assistive technologies available throughout our district. The ideas behind these initiatives were developed through correspondence with my colleagues and the technology department. We held frequent meetings about plans for sharing staff tutorials and resources to help them feel more supported by the technology department. These technology initiatives were created virtually to support staff via online tutorials and resources. In the future, I plan to have a website for my classroom with various technology tutorials and resources, which would connect to the UDL-style principle of having multiple means of representation.
Audience: The audience for these online presentations was a mix of educators and staff members from Bedford High School. After creating these videos, I shared them with colleagues and the technology department. In the future, I plan to create a newsletter or a more organized method of presentation, to compile all tutorials and resources together.

Conferences Attended (February 11th and 16th)
Purpose: "OETC offers a wide variety of sessions, displays, demonstrations, and learning experiences designed to showcase best practices, introduce innovative teaching strategies, explore interactive classroom environments, and highlight the implementation of new technologies to empower more effective teaching and learning" (OETC, 2023).
I attended conferences that talked about support for ELL students, finding methods to work with AI resources and assistive software for data collection within Google. These workshops provided a variety of insights into technology integration, along with ChatGPT, that would become the focus of our 2023 magazine issue for EDTL 6340.
Purpose: The purpose of this TechU presentation was to discuss how to use collaborative strategies in the classroom (they used a mathematics classroom as a model) using digital technologies. Within the presentation, they walked through mathematical technology integration methods and purchasing needs for tech departments.
