So here's the scoop... we are just about to begin our 2022-23 production season and we are looking for New Student Techs!
Our Techs run cameras, mix audio, generate graphics, create replays, and even call the shots as the director, just to name a few! And unlike most other after-school activities, there is absolutely...
NO experience needed and...
NO cost to participate!

To sum it up, there are two ways you can get started with BEC right now. You can:
Sign up for BEC Basics -or-
If you can't make it to Basics, use the form to let us know you'd like to get started doing productions. We'll add you to our invites for each event we're doing. Then, you can sign up for the shoots that work for you and join us. You'll learn in the field!
BEC Basics (For both students and parents!)
BEC Basics is optional, but we definitely recommend it if you're able to join us!
WHAT: BEC Basics has two components:
1 hour of information for both parents and students on what our shoots look like and how we operate as a team
2.5 hours of hands-on training for students to learn how our cameras and equipment work
You'll learn all the ins and outs of how BEC-TV operates to prepare you for your first shoot! You'll also get to meet the other new techs and we'll get to know you! Every student brings a unique skill set and personality to our team, and we're tickled pink that you'll add your own color to our palette.
WHEN: Both days are the same training-- you only need to come once!
Wednesday, September 6 from 3:30-7pm, Parents join 6-7pm.
Thursday, September 7 from 5:30-9pm, Parents join 5:30-6:30pm.
WHERE: BEC-TV World Headquarters at Valley View Middle School (8900 Portland Ave)
If these dates don't work for you: That's ok! You can still get started with BEC and we'll teach you what you need to know at your first shoot. Please fill out the same form linked above and select the Get Started option!
Additional Notes:
Pizza will be provided as our training overlaps with the dinner hour :-)
Parents: Gotta bring more kids? Just let us know so we can plan for dinner.

Signing up for shoots
After you fill out the above form, we'll start sending you shoot invites on your Google Calendar (this will go to your @isd271.org account unless you tell us otherwise).
The invites will have all the information on when and where to find us for the shoot that day. Respond "YES" to a shoot to join!
IMPORTANT: Please respond "YES" or "NO" to every shoot on the calendar. If you don't respond, that means you didn't see it!
