Filmmaking 1 introduces students to the fundamental principles of visual storytelling and the technical skills needed to create compelling films. This course covers the entire filmmaking process, including concept development, scriptwriting, storyboarding, cinematography, directing, and post-production editing. Students will learn how to operate cameras, use lighting and sound equipment, and edit footage using industry-standard software. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking as students work collaboratively to produce short films. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational understanding of the filmmaking process and a portfolio-ready project to showcase their skills.
