The Career & College Readiness Skills course will equip students with knowledge, skills, and practices to support decision making in order to navigate an education and career path aligned to strengths, work style, interests, and goals. The course of study will include four domains: Seeking Assistance and Self-Advocacy Career Exploration and Preparation Postsecondary Readiness Workforce Readiness.

Every high school graduate in Oregon must complete a semester of Personal Finance. This course can be taken either your 11th or 12th grade year. *If you are in AVID during your 12th grade year, you do not need to sign up for this class.
Personal finance is an elective class for students who want to learn about planning for their future. The real world application of the units will impact every student on a personal basis. You will learn about money, budgeting and saving in your daily life today, as well as how to ensure future financial security. Topics covered; credit cards and credit scores, how to read financial aid packages, banks vs credit unions, investing in 401K, IRAs and the stock market, compounding interest, car ownership, living with in your means, and a career exploration unit designed to help you see how it would impact your future financially.

This course will study the composition and function of local, state and national governments in the United States. The emphasis will be on understanding our government, its workings, and the role of citizens in a democratic society. The main topics to be discussed are early government, the Constitution, political parties, the presidency, Congress and the Supreme Court.
