Health & Physical Education
Health & Physical Education
Each course in the Physical Education department is one semester. Students must take Health, Physical Education, and one additional semester of a physical education course to meet graduation requirements unless completing the PE Waiver. Sports medicine is not an activity class and does not fulfill a physical education credit.
PE WAIVER
Beavercreek City Schools has adopted a policy that allows a Physical Education (PE) waiver. The PE waiver rules must follow the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) guidelines. The ODE guidelines exempt students who participate in interscholastic athletics, marching band, cheerleading, or show choir for two full seasons or two years of AFJROTC from the physical education requirements. Students must take another course, which cannot be a physical education course, of at least 60 contact hours. Please visit the high school web page for additional information on the Physical Education Waiver.
